of surgeries and rehab . Put him in the starting role and sit
Saintel or Sturdivant. Garcia just made it look easy last night
being in the right places at the right time . We should win
       Wednesday against Maine hopefully .

I dont see coach Boals sitting seniors over Garcia.
       [/quote]
Once he gets to the point where he can play 25+ minutes I can
easily see Garcia starting over Saintel. That's not a slam on
       Saintel, Garcia looks good.
I think a starting-lineup of Cornish, Yeboah, Olaniyi, Garcia,
and Sturdevant could give teams in the AE some trouble. UC and
Petras are solid off the bench, and Sekunda and Saintel, could
provide some scoring and rebounding respectively.
I don't see Ochefu seeing much time this year (barring injury).
Petras has proven that he deserve the minutes.

well the write-up is on the site, so that's in place.
now that OOC is over, its a good time to look at stats. we
missed 221 three pointers in 14 games. yes that's about 16
misses per game, most of which we dont get back.
since we are taking 25 attempts per game (if you have the ball
20min, that's 1.25 attempts per minute), is anyone other than me
in favor of trying to get some better shots with those 25
       chances.

I agree COB we should be driving to the basket and either score
inside or draw a foul . Continually shooting from downtown for
us is a low percentage shot at best. Our bigs need to be
inside not 20 feet away chucking away.

We dont have any big's that is the problem. Petras, though big
by stature, is not a big play maker and keep be counted on in
       the low post..

I agree wholeheartedly. Against the teams in the AE and against
teams like Norfolk St., just drive to the basket and take the
high(er) percentage shots when we get them since we have the
size to compete and/or dominate those opponents. Taking the
desperation three at every opportunity should be reserved for
when we're up against the more outright talented Power
conference teams like Michigan St. Providence, Uconn, etc.
taking a bunch of threes against Norfolk St. makes zero sense.

ive been saying this for years. and it keeps costing us.
against NSU, it cost us bad, and zeroed out the Rutgers win and
any momentum going into conference play.
maybe im crazy but IF we are going to shoot the three, get
petras in the key, maybe even sturdy or one of our swing
forwards. and take them either when open (not in traffic) and
when desperate/catching up; and have our shooters shoot them.
but more than anything, we just take too many. forget quality.
i suppose you can argue that what good is driving to the hoop if
we cant hit foul shots. we are a mixed bag in that category.

Driving to the basket causes fouls. Even if we only shoot 60%
from the line, it keeps the opposing teams from getting the
rebound and points. Not to mention it puts players in foul
       trouble..
I said it before I'll say it again. We dont have any bigs on the
team to command the paint. This is why I was so high on Ochefu.
He has the body and athleticism to get the rebounds and muscle
       his way through big defenders..

I'd rather have beaten Rutgers and lost to Norfolk State than
       the other way around.
