I hope it’s a full stadium.. attendance of 12,300.

It's very unlikely unless we really pull up some genius
marketing work. Most people don't hear about the game in time.
We need to market the game well to the immediate community and
the students (most which will be away for thanksgiving). I would
say that 5-8k is more likely. That would still be a success. Our
job is to spread the word via FB, Twitter, etc
Lehigh is a 5-6 program and weaker than our past home playoff
opponents. It being thanksgiving weekend will also kill
attendance (I never attended those games when I was a student)
and I doubt Lehigh will bring many fans. I'm being bearish and
guessing about 5500.

engineers first.
but, if we can hang around most of the game at 9-1 #19 south
florida (yes, they are BCS ranked), then we should be able to
hang around with JMU. we've beaten them before. upsets happen.
especially in football with turnovers in your favor.

Lehigh (5-6) at Stony Brook (9-2), Saturday 2:00

What a start Lehigh got off to to begin 2017. Expectations were
soaring, they began the season ranked #9 in the CSM FCS Top 25.
After five weeks, they sat at 0-5 and appeared to be the biggest
disappointment of the year. Finally, Patriot League action came
around and the turnaround slowly materialized with a win over
Colgate. Little did anyone know how big that victory was, as it
was the result in that game that gave them the tiebreaker
advantage to winning the conference’s automatic bid. Lehigh
becomes the second team to qualify for the playoffs with a
sub-.500 record. The other, ironically, was their long-time
rival, Lafayette, who had an identical 5-6 record. The Mountain
Hawks have no problems scoring, averaging 36.5 points per game,
powered by QB Matt Timochenko and RB Dominick Bragalone.
Unfortunately, the defense surrenders 39.4 ppg. Shootouts are
their style.

Stony Brook seemed to sneak up on the FCS this year. An opening
season loss to FBS South Florida should have been a flag to
notice, as they only lost 31-17. Then the wins started piling
up, and save for a mid-season loss at home to Delaware, they
were flawless the rest of the way. Their trip through the CAA
involved lighter lifting than it could have, as they missed Elon
and James Madison on their schedule. They did beat New Hampshire
and Richmond, so they did pass a few of the sterner tests. The
Seawolves only surpassed 30 points four times this season, but
held all FCS opponents to 24 points or less. The defense gives
up just under 100 yards per game.

So who will enforce their will? That will be the question. A
shootout would definitely seem to favor Lehigh, but if Stony
Brook can ground their offense some, the Seawolves offense
should be able to mount some solid numbers against a porous
defense.

Projected Score: Stony Brook 45, Lehigh 21

LEHIGH MOUNTAIN HAWKS
Coach: Andy Coen (12th season)
Record: 5-6, 5-1 Patriot League
Bid: Automatic
Three Key Wins: at Colgate (41-38), at Bucknell (42-21),
Lafayette (38-31)
Hurtful Loss: at Wagner (37-20)
First Playoff Game: at Stony Brook, Nov. 25
What to Know: The Mountain Hawks, who started their season with
five straight losses, are the second team to qualify for the
playoffs with a losing record (Lafayette also was 5-6 in 2013).
But FCS scoring leader Dom Bragalone (21 touchdowns) helps fuel
a high-powered offense.
Info from STATS website. They lost to Wagner 37-20 :o

just to repeat something that's probably already known- from
newsday:
Carbone has completed 59 percent of his passes for 1,995 yards,
20 touchdowns and three interceptions and the Seawolves have
averaged 28.0 points per game.
well done. should be the MIP. let's build on that for next
year and improve even more. ;D

thanks iBO!!!
here's what i found:
Interesting twist is SB head coach Chuck Priore is older
Brother of Penn head coach Ray Priore. Penn put 65 on Lehigh.
Think he’ll share notes with his older bro?

I always look at his stat lines after games and am always
pleasantly surprised at how accurate he is with his passes. Also
with the number of attempts from time to time. Checking the box
score from Saturday's game, he attempted more passes than it
felt like he did. Granted many of the passes were incomplete as
I believe he had his worst game of the season on Saturday so
there's that explanation there, but he really took a big step
forward from last year to this year. Very impressive.
