Wow, five seconds went by without a whistle. UC could be the
most improved player this year.

Definitely having fun watching the first half.
Still don’t know why coach is giving significant minutes to
McKenzie? The kid would be better off at a lower division
level.

McKenzie just needs more time. Almonacy looked lost in his first
year. McKenzie will develop with time.

The game is close enough that we look like we belong on the same
court with Michigan St. That's plenty good enough for me. If we
can hang with these elite teams where there's no margin for
error, imagine how much better we can play once AE play comes??
That's the value here and I'm very happy with how we've been
competitive in these games even if we aren't winning them.

Can you stop with this? He's going to be an AE ROY candidate.
It's also just rude. I'm sure the kids see this.

Kids don’t waste their time with these forum. The coach is
destroying his confidence! Hey, I hope I’m wrong and competition
will be worse going forward.

McKenzie is a true freshman playing against MSU- he's held his
own without a doubt.
Happy to see Olaniyi have a huge game, he's a lot of fun to
watch. This brutal gauntlet at the start of the year will make
AE opponents seem hopefully a lot easier. Hopefully they can get
their first win soon.

McKenzie had one bucket this afternoon and didn’t even score
against Ball St. Plus, he has had problems on defense. Maybe,
the coach can bring him off the bench and be more of a shooting
guard? There is currently too much pressure on him in running
the show and defending a quicker player ever night.
This coming from someone who played point guard in high school.

Game 4: at Michigan State 11/19

A standup effort by the guys. A lead on the #2 team in the
country for 16 minutes? And into the second half at UConn and
Ball State? Hey, that’s not a big recruiting line, but for
little old Stony Brook, not too shabby. I’m not surprised in the
least to be 0-4 and feel better about this team than I did a
week and a half ago.
Shot attempts in order: Yeboah, Olaniyi, Sturdivant. I could get
used to that. I thought Elijah was fantastic and he’s just what
we need with Nyama gone - somebody who can get to the basket. I
hope this gives him the confidence to attack.
Fourth straight game where I’ve liked what Petras did
offensively. And he hasn’t gotten T’d up yet after a bucket.
With McKenzie, good timing for Brown, Bucknell, Shawnee State
and St. Francis at home. Such a tough way to begin your freshman
year. Dougher started with UMES, Lafayette, Wagner and American.
Puriefoy had Rider, Sacred Heart, Canisius and UConn, and didn’t
have to handle the reins from day one. Hoping McKenzie’s shot
comes.

Lax, that’s just crazy. McKenzie a shooting guard? What suggests
to you that he’s more suited for that role?
Best ballhandler and best passer on the team - by a lot. I’ll
give him a longer leash than four games.
