We're good, UNH is good, the turn out this year needs to be
massive and I think it will be. Looks like the weather will
cooperate too. If there was ever a year we could break 13k I
think this is it.

I saw Josh Valentine on the sideline last week dressed, but no
gear on.. He looked fine, bouncing around, jumping up and down,
looking like he was having a good time. I noticed he is once
again not on the depth chart for this game. Just curious if he
is out for the season and why. If so will he get a medical
redshirt for this year..

If it was a disciplinary or academic issue he wouldn't be on the
sidelines so from what I gather it is either an injury or an
illness. The way the medical redshirt works is if a player plays
only 10% of the total games due to an injury or an illness then
the team could ask the NCAA to give the player the extra year
Hammer another item for you I understand that former AD Jim
Fiore has a son starting as a RB on Ward Melville's JV

Campi, yes. Mike Fiore, son of Jim Fiore is an an incredible
running back. He's a 10th grader and will be a tremendous asset
when he goes to varsity. he is a good kid, too!!!

That 1 on 1 with Carbone & the relationship the coach P & has
with his father; it really leaves you thinking is it who you
Know that gives you the opportunity within the program. I like
Cabone I think the he has a lot of heart n has improved a lot
the last year at SBU.
I have heard whispers that a few players families had sponsor
sign on with SBU.
I also spoke with a few players parents about this & they are
concerned about this issue & the way it may impact who gets
playing time...
I am from the old school program that hard work & talent gives
you the opportunities; but today it's all about the financial
support within the program...
Times have change & i am getting older; if this is true i do not
like the direction how college football is going...
UNH has a real good coaching staff do not underestimate there
game plan; the QB & TE tore us up last year and we not adjust
to this in the 2nd half & they rack up serious points.
I watch game film on UNH & there current QB loves to keep the
ball & he throw on the run. This game will be a challenge for
our DB & who ever controls the ball more is going to win this
game. If your always looking for that big play' you will loose
this game; clock management & long drives & moving the chains
and SBU will win this game.

So basically what you are saying is. If your donate enough money
to the football program, we will start your kid?? This sounds a
lot like the PAL league. This could be the case with Carbone
considering he had no scholarship offers coming out of high
school, But you dont know if this is really the case with him or
not, just hearsay..
I understand football programs struggle to raise money on Long
Island and school have to do what needs to be done to stay a
float. But to make someone a starter because of a large booster,
is not my idea of rooting and supporting a team. I used to see
that all the time in the Youth programs and it drove me crazy
and i would call coaches out on that ..I hope SB doesnt fall
into that trap..
If SB can stop the bonehead penalties they have a shot at
beating UNH. They must also trust Carbone arm. If he is doing
well, and i believe he will do well, let him throw the ball,
something coach P did not do at the end of the 4th Q last week..

Thats too bad. I am a big fan of Josh going back to his days in
commack. I hope he gets one more year of eligibility added to
his scholarship..

I hope there is an administrator of this forum and that he/she
removes SBUFootball and his baseless and petty post re sponsors,
players and playing time from this site. This forum ought not
be used by a player's disgruntled parent to malign the program,
the coaches, other players and their families with such baseless
and nonsensical accusations. What a disgrace!
