Not a big LAX fan by any means (trying to learn!) but the poor
start for the team has me worried. I've been waiting for a
season where they really establish themselves with Nagle and it
isn't there yet which has me concerned. It's even more glaring
given the tremendous success Spallina has had in such a short
time.
Again, this is just coming from a casual fan who is growing more
impatient in recent years.

This.
There’s no reason SB shouldn’t have success like Albany, or more
given location and academics.

I agree Wolfie. Nagle has had ample time to take this program to
the next level. Long Island is a breading ground for Lax stars.
Just not in a SB men's uniform...

Looking forward to watching the game tonight on Big Ten Network.
Newsday had the game 2 goals apart in 4th quarter before wheels
fell off
I just looked at the 2017 All Long Island Lacrosse Teams:
3 going to Maryland
3 to Virginia
3 to Cornell
3 to Stony Brook
2 to Hopkins, Hofstra and Duke
rest of list is just 1 kid per school
I might be wrong but thats pretty good for SB. Need to see it on
the field but the talent is getting recruited.

That's an impressive haul- gotta turn that recruiting success
into production on the field.

just wanted to mention how much improvement we've seen from
daly. he's gone from a second middie to a team leader, his bull
dodge looks like corpo's, his shot is improved, and in both
losses he's taken the team on his back and put in a goal in a
time of need. he's going to be a factor for us this year and
next.
it's nice to see an athlete come of age in an era where kids
either start right away, or transfer.

Problem one is Nagel. Look at his track record. He made the NCAA
tournament once some years ago, and that was with the remanence
of Coash Sowell’s team. Coach Sowell has gone onto continued
growth and success at Navy while SB and Nagel continue to
rebuild. Second, Nagel does get some good recruits, but after a
year or two of Nagel lax they transfer, which brings us back to
problem one.

Here are the problems.
1-Terrible campus life for the student athletes. Tough to
overcome when it comes down to recruiting.
2-Having Albany in our conference. We have continued to be the
2nd best team in this conference.
Kudos to the Albany program. They have had a nice run at our
expense.
Lets see if we can get on a run of our own. Very young and
promising.
