I know we are still 2 months away from the start of the 2017
season but today SBU got it's first 2018 verbal commitment when
Ty'Son Lawton a 5'10 175 pound RB out of Curtis HS in Staten
Island and considered on of the RB's in NY committed today

My son is considering attending the football camp on Monday,
July 24th (6pm to 9pm) ....
I contacted Cody Fisher to get a list of other colleges that may
have representatives at the camp, but so far I have yet to hear
back.
Any insights as to what colleges may attend aside from SBU?
Thanks in advance ...

Saturday July 22 is SU's 7 on 7 passing tournament and also they
will have 22.23 and 24 as their final one day prospect camps so
there will be many future Sea Wolves in attendance as they have
many players from NY, PA, NJ, CT, VA and MD areas

The #1 RB prospect from LI Dylan Laube out of Westhampton Beach
HS has committed to University of New Hampshire. The only way
SBU will keep the best LI players home is by winning.

Sometimes kids use college as a way to get away from their
parents and go somewhere new so I can understand that piece.
Still, it sucks to be losing kids from right out of your
backyard....
What do you guys think it would take for Heilbron to give Coach
P the boot early? 1-10? 0-11??

If SB goes winless or wins a couple of games this year then
maybe, he gets the boot. His contract runs through 2018 so 2
more years of him being our head coach is probably a reality.
Priore was influential in bringing Heilbron on board when he got
hired. I find it very hard to believe Heilbron would fire coach
P regardless if we ever win another game before his contract
expires. There is a very strong chance P contract does not get
extended, but to fire him before the end is unlikely.
I dont know if you listened to any of the coaches from the CAA
talk yesterday at the media day, but i did.. All the other
coaches sounded great talking about this upcoming season and a
lot were praising the QB.. Coach P really didnt have anything to
say about the QB situation. As if he knows we are in trouble
this year.. I didnt get a good feeling when he was done talking.
He really doesnt have much to say in press conference and I feel
like he doesnt want to talk or be bothered with. Coach P is
definitely no coach Swinney or Saban in interviews!!!!
