       Welcome, Coach Thornton!

I wonder if we see some Hargrave kids coming up here with
Thornton on staff. Obviously McKenzie's one of them.

6th place?? LOL. NBC really thinks we're going to finish behind
       Umass Lowell? Wow.
We we're supposed to suck last year and wound up finishing
second in the conference. We'll be fine this year. But please
       keep sleeping on us.
The AE is supposed to be pretty damn strong this year. Even if
it's not us, I hope somebody from this conference can seal a
second bid in the tourney. That'd be huge for us.

This is great! Will keep them hungry and motivated. Since we
have a lot of "unproven" newbies joining the team, it is to be
expected that they will not factor into any pre-season
predictions. Should be some good competition up-and-down the
league, but I don't think we're anywhere close to becoming a
       2-bid league yet.

According to ESPN, Olaniyi and Garcia are two of the highest
rated recruits since Warney. Not sure that translates to an
immediate impact but Coach B seems to be moving the program in
       the (continued) right direction.

Agreed. Some 28-win team would have to notch a few enormous
non-conference wins and narrowly lose to the 2 seed in the AE
title game for it to be considered.
I give this coaching staff a lot of credit for their recruiting
and getting the maximum out of last year’s group. I think
Woodhouse hid a lot of our flaws by being just the consummate
point guard and scoring more than we ever could have hoped for
after his junior year. Almonacy, UC, McKenzie and Cornish have
       big shoes to fill.

Hopefully can contribute early on in the season. Losing Warney
then Woodhouse in back to back seasons was tough. Our bigs need
to step up and grab rebounds and score. Our guards need to hit
from outside or drive to the basket.

I hope Almonacy becomes more aggressive at the rim. He needs to
step it up if he wants to play div1 ball

I think Almonacy is going to have a big year. He tweeted over
the summer that his standing vertical was measured at 31" and
max vertical was 38", which is 8 inches higher than last summer.
That's a massive improvement in athleticism between his freshmen
and sophomore year. I think he's going to look like an entirely
different player. Really looking forward to seeing him play.
