A big part of this thing is staying healthy. Binghamton was
dealt a tough blow a month ago when JC Show, their top scorer,
went down for the season with a ruptured triceps injury. After a
7-4 start with him, they're 2-7 without him. That reinforces the
first sentence. We're a totally different team without any of
our guys.
Look at it closer though, and UB's had a tough beginning stretch
in conference play: at UMBC, at UNH, at Albany, and home dates
with Lowell and Vermont. And now undefeated Stony Brook!
Beck has given Bingo a boost of late, using the uptick in
minutes to hit double digits in points in each of the last six
games. He's UB's primary three-point threat, which is
particularly of note considering we're 332nd out of 351 teams in
three-point FG% against (.391). That is dismal. As a team,
Binghamton hits 37 percent of its threes, a pretty good number.
But let's look at the bright side. We have the best player on
the floor, and I think a legitimate candidate for conference
Player of the Year in Lucas Woodhouse. Right now, we're THIRD in
the COUNTRY in turnovers at just under 10 a game, just behind
Michigan and Virginia (as of 1/19 games). We're right there in
assist-to-turnover and turnover margin also. Between that and
getting on the offensive glass, we're really getting the best
bang for our buck on each possession. It's a pretty good point
guard matchup with Woody and Rose, even though the latter isn't
nearly the scorer.
It's too bad Jordan McRae from HHHE hasn't made the rotation up
at UB. I like seeing the locals get a shot to play at a high
level.
I'm a little uneasy about this, partly because we're due for a
letdown and Binghamton's due for a win too. Fingers crossed we
can get it done.

Game day ! Looking forward to seeing if SBU can keep the
momentum going. It seems that even with Binghamton struggling
for a few years now, quite a few of our games with them are
tight. The Wolves should not be looking past today even with a
big week ahead against UMBC and Vermont. We should not take
anything for granted. The Bearcats have some talent and are
anxious I am sure to get that first conference win. Take care of
business. Go Seawolves!

We have to be careful with each game . We are playing good
team basketball now but we are not that overwhelming . Win
today and get ready for UMBC .

took us a few min to figure out the bingo zone. petras looking
alive. yeboah hot shooting. distracting white patch on the
ball.
BC hung 102 on UML. bingo got into some early trouble with poor
perimeter shooting, uncharacteristic, no?

Give it a rest Laxnation. As I said games with Binghamton can
often be a struggle. Hopefully we can close strong.

Just stating the facts.
Stony Brook won by 25 points, the last time that these two teams
played against each other!
Woodhouse is God!

It's hard to win these games when your starting 2 guard scores 0
points and 0 assists.

Ugh. Rough final 30 seconds. Foul on offensive board, don't box
out the shooter, wide open three, missed layup and an abominable
inbounds play. Nice to get back into it but a rotten ending.
