Couldn't agree more with you about the strategy of Pikiell at
the games.

Many times we just couldn't hang on to the lead with head
scratching plays end of games. Pikiell often lacking with ideas
in close games. I would be so frustrated.

if by lights out you mean-
0 for 10 in the first half
7/22 total (still not great despite the heroics)
in the waning minutes, missing a three that went the other way
for a three (in a tight game)
missing another three with a 4 point lead with a few min left,
that went the other way for a 2
then yes, i would say the lights were certainly out.

Yes, well, the smiley face was meant to signal a joke. That was,
frankly, a sh&%show from 3 from both teams. But a nice AE win
from the good guys nonetheless.

Boals' Reaction
"We knew that after that first half we needed someone to give us
a spark and Tyrell [Sturdivant] did it, Roland [Nyama] did it,
it was great," said head coach Jeff Boals. "I thought they were
aggressive. Our game plan coming in was to try and get them in
foul trouble, because we knew they didn't have a very deep
bench, but very talented guys, and that's what we did. Every
game in this league is going to be a dogfight. We showed some
toughness in the second half and we are battled tested already."

Game 14: at New Hampshire 1/5

Chair, please with the three point stuff. You conveniently don't
post about it when we shoot it well.
Just a heads up ...
2-point FG% this year: .428
3-point FG% this year: .326
For every 100 twos at 43% = 86 points
For every 100 threes at 33% = 99 points
Two tonight: 15 for 39 (.386)
Threes tonight: 7 for 22 (.318)
If all 61 shots from two: 24 for 61 (48 points)
If all 61 shots from three: 19 for 61 (57 points)
For most of our games, I'll bet it works out in favor of MORE
threes being taken. Yes, I understand that anything inside is
more likely to get us to the line, but think we have a good
ratio right now. If we have penetrators and guys on the block
who are making better than 50 percent of our twos, pound it
inside! But we don't have that - nice night from Sturdy for
sure; just saying generally. It pays to take and make threes,
and we're making enough of them with a lineup that wants and
needs to take them to succeed.

If a players hair moved out of place they would call a foul.
Horrible officiating.

Agreed. Sturdivant look a lot like Warney last night. Nice to
see that..Boals impresses me as well so far. But it is way to
early to be talking about comparisons, just yet....

yeah, until the next game we shoot 12% from three...
when we do shoot the three well. what has taking all these
threes got us over the years? a win at washington? an
invitation to the CIT?
different story if dougher is shooting them and brenton/warney
is rebounding them.

I think the obvious reason for the high number of three balls is
because we dont have a postman or a go to guy who can drive to
the basket, ie: Purifoy, Walker..
Petrus wold be great for rebounding if he could just jump, but
he cant.. The few times we have seen Campbel he can jump and
move but coach Boles chooses to stay with Petrus. He's the coach
and I am just a fan....
