A W here would be a heck of a start to 2017. It won't be easy
though. Whoever was at the UNH game here last year, it was a
war, and the great majority of their contributors returned. The
biggest exception there is their third leading scorer, Jacoby
Armstrong, who was suspended by the university and has yet to
appear in a game this season. Could he be back for conference
play? I hope not. He's listed on the roster.
UNH has done well to get to 9-5 this year, including a scalp of
Temple on the road, and a nice win at Winthrop. Three D-III wins
also though.
Leissner and Smith are capable of huge scoring nights. Leissner
had 31 against Detroit; Smith had games of 28 and 27, and has
upped his production across the board as a senior. They rely
HEAVILY on those two and Dion, all of whom average more than 33
minutes a night. We benefitted greatly from Smith's foul trouble
in our game here last year, but he did return just in time to
get rejected by Warney at the buzzer :)
I worry about us on the glass in this one, particularly if
Armstrong returns – I have no evidence that he will; just
speculation.
I'd say that UNH is turnover prone – they average 14 a game and
rank very low nationally in turnover margin. But consider that
they had THIRTY FOUR turnovers against West Virginia to the
Mountaineers' 11. WV is +15.2 in turnover margin for the season

Could be a nice win . Depends on which SBU shows up . We shoot
in 30s and miss our 3s we are done early.

Stony Brook battling well on the paint, good defense so far. But
no flow in offense.

I dont know what to say about this team. 0-10 from the 3,
really???? fouls, missed free throws, Petras is the high scorer
because of going to the line. Yikes..

Woodhouse with 0 points.. They are double teaming him. He needs
to figure this out soon. Need to keep the flow going out of
double team without fouling. Expect every team to double team
him. He is the best and most seasoned player on the floor.

They have length. Not easy. But I am liking that we are not
scared of their size and in fact we are doing better rebounding.
