Agreed that I don't see this team right now with anyone who can
reliably score from 2 (besides, obviously, easy layups). My
brain hurt for 3 years with a call to "give the ball to Warney!"
Dare I say there would have been at least one more trip to the
NCAAs had that happened more regularly rather than [fill in the
blank] jacking up 3s, but that's water under the bridge/sour
grapes.
I think the nature of this team, however, is live/die by the 3.
From a simple personnel/percentage standpoint, if you may not
shoot any better or more often from 2, better to go for the
extra point with a shot. Frankly, I'm impressed with the
coaching staff and team for getting so many open looks without a
presence like Warney down low to draw the defense.
Speaking of which, a message to Jakub: stay after practice for
an hour every day and work on that little jump hook. Seriously,
did Kareem not convince ANY of these big guys? Despite whatever
that support/glove is he's wearing, Jakub has occasionally shown
a nice little soft hook around the basket. The dude's a monster
(esp for AE) and I could imagine him getting 6-8 points a game
with a little hook. Even with his limited minutes, could be a
difference-maker.

100 percent in agreement on Petras. He's going to be shooting
over anybody who's guarding him, and if he can knock that down
with some regularity, wow, that would be a big lift considering
we have just Sturdy down low. I don't think Petras will ever be
an 8 to 10 board guy for us but he's held down the fort well in
extended time this year. I love his fire too.

If Campbell can control his defensive fouls, I think he would do
a much better job than Patras. Campbell can jump, Petras cant.
Campbell can rebound, Petras can not. Campbell is better with
the FG than Patras..Campbell is more athletic than Petras...
Problem with Campbell, he is very physical on D and racks about
fouls...If Boles can fix that with him then we have our big guy
down low... I dont think Petras can ever improve in those
areas..
