2011/12: Game 4 Stony Brook vs Columbia
DIR By: ecasadoSBU

After a heartbreaking loss, Stony Brook gets a chance for their
first DI victory of the season against Ivy-League Columbia Lions
before heading to Northwestern.
The team has to put things together after the horrible showing
at Sacred Heart. Hopefully, being at home helps them. We need a
victory on Tuesday

Very excited to see them on Tuesday. Some immense potential from
SBU, just have to pull it together.
SBU had a tendency in season past to give up with 8 minutes left
in the game. If they learn to close in games like these, they'll
do quite well come conference season.

Dare I say "must win" tomorrow vs. Columbia, especially with
them missing their best player (Agho). I'm sure Columbia feels
like they can steal one, and a strong home crowd will help you
guys.....time for Bracey to get some quality minutes, and the
frontcourt subs (Carter, McAlister and Rapier) must be
productive. Also, Dougher needs to start knocking down shots,
along with Leonard Hayes, if you want to keep up with the other
AE teams that are looking improved (Albany, Maine, and UNH, not
to mention BU and UVM)....finally, less turnovers from
Coley/Jackson/Joyner should equal a victory. Remember, 4 of
your next 6 games are against Northwestern, Boston College,
Eastern Illinois and Rutgers, so tomorrow is crucial!!! Look
for Columbia to pound it inside, as they have some size.
Speaking of that, is Mayo redshirting?????

Are you confirming that Mayo is redshirting? I was asking.....I
just only see 1 minute played so far this year; not sure what
rules are in regard to redshirting.

Doubt Mayo is redshirting. Esp if he has minutes in games.
Unless he was redshirted immediately after Indiana - and in that
case I'm nearly certain it has to be for a medical reason.

Mayo has a sore knee, Pikiell said he was day-to-day. He did
tell me his intention was to redshirt him last year before the
injuries hit, but it would be very unusual to do that this year,
especially considering he actually looked decent.
