It was only a matter of time until Coach Hemphill went to
greener pastures. He's done all that he can at this level. As
with Pikiell, it's a no brainer move.
The defense was the only thing keeping this team
semi-competitive. Hopefully we don't skip a beat on that side of
the ball because I have yet to gain any ounce of confidence that
this coaching staff will make this offense any more productive.
I hope Priore proves me wrong but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm with you. I have zero faith in coach P in their offense. Now
the defense is in question. I hope Shawn Heilbron opens the SB
pocketbook and pulls a lot of $$$ to find an experience DC. The
last thing in this world you want to see someone with zero
       Experience as an DC.

Did coach Priore get his extension? I would like to see one last
time this year, what he is capable of doing. He was just the
guidance we needed to stand this program on feet, out of NEC to
Big South and eventually to CAA. Sometimes I feel CAA might be
little too competitive for Coach Priore. If we are again at the
bottom of CAA standing, may be a wholesale change in coaching
staff is what we need to take us to the top of CAA.

Coach P contract runs through 2018.

I fully expect another 5-6 or 6-5 season and now with a new DC
it could be worse. Like I have said we need an 8-3 season
rather quickly and a playoff berth. The CAA is an excellent
conference we just are not competitive in it.

Agreed. A lot depends on who Shawn Heilbron hires. If he gets
lucky and brings in a coach with a reputation and history of
developing strong athletes than we will be ok. Problem is. At
the FCS level good assistants dont last long and move up and
       out.
I think this football program is going to take another step
backwards and we will finish at or close to the bottom of the
CAA for another 2 years.. Time to clean house and start over...

Respectfully Hammer, I think you mean moving forward in a new
direction. Clean the house usually means the house is full of
bad apples. And our program is not full of bad people that it
       needs cleaning and starting over.

Didn't mean to be a jerk. The reason I brought it up is because
you said the same thing on the other forum when Pikiell left
about basketball program... Cleaning the house. And which ticked
of many especially who wanted Jay Young as coach. Also cleaning
house would have meant getting rid of Woodhouse and Sturdivant
       too, no?

Cleaning the coaching staff house, I should have said. I know
who you are refering to on the Basketball forum. Obviously
NEballer has ties to the old coaching staff, one way or another
and gets very sensitive when someone talks about Pikiell ..I
enjoy pissing him or her off. Too easy!!!
