#20 was from Babylon and played offense ( wide Rec) defense and
special teams in high school . Its a shame to lose him and
others with so much talent to offer the team. I suspect we will
see more kids leaving and maybe a few decommits also.

SBUFootball, This doesn't look good for the program if you ask
me 5-6 and losing good players> I wonder why #20 would leave he
was getting playing time at D1 now goto a D3? I'm confused about
that

here is a novel thought on how to get more people to the games:
win Games, especially home games.
take a look at how SB did at home this season: 3-3. only one of
those wins was exciting, the blow out win of Richmond. the rest
of the home games, see below
September 1 season opener against ND: a real real real boring
game, but we won 13-9
September 17 against Richmond: the best game of the season for
our team, we won big time.
September 24 against Sacred Heart: blow out loss 39-10. boring
offense once again
October 15 against Rhode Island: if ever there was a chance to
get a big offensive win, this was it. FAIL: 14-3 win
November 5 against William and Mary: another boring offensive
performance, and a loss 14-9
November 12 against Main: at least the offense scored a few
time, but we lost again 27-21 AFTER falling behind 27-0
look folks the product stinks, that's why no one attends the
games. and that goes back to the coaching and recruiting staff.
Make some changes.

I was speaking to someone this past Sunday at SBU during the HS
Playoff games and was told that the DC Lyle Hemphill's wife
doesn't want to leave LI however unless the AD is willing to
make him Associate Head Coach with a chance to eventually be the
HC there's not much of choice but to leave
By the way another SBU Coach was fired yesterday when the
Volleyball Coach was sacked

If any of you read Sean's (AD) Letter on line while he didn't
like the results for the 2016 season he still feels this program
is going in the right direction he pointed to the fact that for
2017 will be the first full season for the two OC and how
plentiful the roster is.
If anyone has the answer a question I would like answered what
was our attendance while we were a member of the Big South
versus what it has been since we joined the CAA
Last years recruiting class was the best ever for this program
according to many people who have been associated with this
program for many years and according to the SBU Coaches that I
have been speaking to they expect this to class to be just as
good.
In the last week as many as 8 QB's from DI Programs announced
they are transferring however I'm still hearing there is no
interest at this time to bring in a transfer QB

They could bring in Alabama s front line. If they are not
playing them or opening the offense then 5-6 or maybe 6-5 next
year. In 2012 we had Brock and Maysonet and a QB who could
throw down the field to Jordan Gush (remember his catch against
Syracuse). That's all gone now . We shall see what we shall see
but don't expect much especially with experienced players
leaving.

With the 1st of the year around the corner there is an event
worth noting and that is the NCAA Football Conference that takes
place in January the reason I say this is because that's when
Head Coaches of many programs will reach out to fill there
staffs such as Lyle Hemphill our DC who could get a lot of
action
AS far as our commitments for the Class of 2017 go I just spoke
to the SBU Football Recruiting Coordinator and even though they
just lost a huge OT to UCONN they feel that this upcoming group
will match or exceed the group they brought in last year
