When they say kicked off a lot of the time that means the player
is told you really don't fit in our long term plans so they
recommend that they leave. I know some of these kids and their
good people so it had to be grades or something along those
lines and not discipline issues

James Wollweber,Kyle Ziegler,Rory Allen and Dominick Cassella
all quit and Chris Monteiro got cut and the rest got kicked off
the team
Cassella still shows up on the roster.
Re: the others, what do you mean "kicked off"? Was there some
kind of mutiny or disciplinary action?
This is what I was told by my son who is on the team, he said
they were kicked off , don't know why or what that really means

Today is reporting day for the 2017 Sea Wolves they will be on
the field tomorrow
While I'm more optimistic than most on this website about the
2017 season I'm also a realist and so this is what I expect; we
will lose to South Florida but hoping we play better then we did
last year against Temple, go 5-3 against the CAA Teams, Carbone
only plays slightly better and Fields takes over by game 7 and
we even see Cassidy playing, The TE's and RB's will be used more
in the passing game then ever before, Chris Parlor becomes a
bigger part of the running game, The defense performs better if
and a big if the offense can sustain drives, the freshmen PK
from Chicago becomes the starter by mid season and the OL
surprises us and has a great year

5-3 in the CAA gets us in the conversation for a playoff spot
assuming we can win those other two non-conference games against
Sacred Heart and Wagner. Do that and we're looking at 7-4
overall. I'd eat a shoe if we finished 7-4. My expectation is
3-8 or 4-7. Prove me wrong Coach P.

I really hope coach P does not do the quarterback shuffle thing
again this year.. That would really show his lack of confidence
in any one QB.. Carbone was given a chance 2 yrs in a row and
has failed epically. Now lets give Fields a shot and see what he
has. If Cassidy is thrown into the mix at some point this
season, then you know we are in big trouble once again..
The funny think with this team is. We have amazing athletes on
both side of the ball except in the QB position. If SB would to
get a QB FBS transfer from a power conference or a stud out of
HS who had multiple offers to play at a large school, this team
could go deep into the playoffs. I am amazed how this school
cant find that QB to come to SB, something is just not right
with this!!!!

Precisely! This program has so much talent on both sides of the
ball year in and year out that if we even managed to get one of
those dime-a-dozen "game manager" QBs who ride the bench all
year at the P5 schools on this team, we'd easily make noise. Can
we really pitch none of those kids?? Seems to me that Coach P is
simply bad at developing quarterbacks and got lucky with
Essington.
Get even one of those P5 kids to come here and our whole program
changes. We could even make an entire system out of it. Oregon
was able to do this for a couple years by simply plugging and
playing a grad transfer QB. No excuse to have been this bad at
such a crucial position for this long.
This also probably means nothing, but I noticed we don't recruit
California nearly as much as we used to. We used to have a full
on pipeline of those California CC and JuCO kids coming over
here to SBU, particularly quarterbacks. Now we barely have any.

At this time we are not recruiting Texas or California the areas
we are recruiting are NY, NJ, PA, CT, MD, Del, Washington DC, VA
and Florida
At this time we have offered 3 2018 HS QB's all are better then
what we currently have
