2011/12: Game 3 Stony Brook @ Sacred Heart

Tomorrow we are going to face off against Sacred Heart. The game
will be on www.wusb.fm/listen and starts at 7pm.
Last year we lost to Sacred Heart at the Prit 75-66. I have a
feeling the outcome of this game will be in our favor.
Any thoughts?

I'm actually really excited about this team. I think everyone is
playing at a higher level than a year ago. Bryan looks better
with the ball in his hands than he did last year. Joyner and
Rapier look so much better inside than they did last year.
Brenton brings so much to this team. He really is our point
forward and gets the team going on both sides of the ball.
Despite the game getting ugly at Indiana, I think we're going to
see a much better Stony Brook team this year.

I'm hoping for a good road win to get us on the right foot.
Bye the way Boston University got smacked Sunday afternoon at
Texas. Final Texas Longhorns 89 BU 46. So I dont feel so bad
about Indiana since BU is supposed to be our biggest competition
in the AE. We at least put up 66 points and didnt commit 21
turnovers.

We need this win. Its Sacred Heart. We need to defeat them. We
can't fall to them again like with did last year.
We need wins against Sacred Heart and Columbia. If we can beat
this two teams, that will definitely be improvement considering
both were losses last year

I'm already doubting how good this team is... I dont want to be
a pessimist. But we are playing horrible... Is it going to take
a whole season to get descent like last year?

Pretty bad showing tonight ! Turnovers,no free throws bad
defense. Looked like the SBU of old.

we did better than hartford did against them... idk, lets let
pikiell figure out what needs to be done, and consider him a
genius when we finish 14-2 in conference (calling it) (okay,
maybe 11-5 (Still calling it))

Listen, the pessimists on this board have a point after this
game. SB basketball has been underachieving (for a major
research university) for a long time. There should be no losses
to the Sacred Hearts of the NCAA. And while making the NCAA
Tournament is very possible, that won't necessarily be the
turning point in this program. UMBC made it back in 2008 and
they're back in the cellar with single digit win seasons. I'll
save my optimism for football, for now.
