You know we all love the defense- I wouldn't touch anything.
However people don't come to watch boring college offenses. Face
it, you need to have a compelling product to draw people to
college football games in the northeast. This offense has shown
no character in several years. You can definitely keep running
the ball- far from it, running is a big part of any successful
college offense. 118/122 in passing offense- ahead of Wofford,
Citadel, Delaware, and Robert Morris. That'd be fine if we were
a top 20 team in the rushing game but we're #56! We are the #108
scoring offense which is just not going to cut it. The running
       game isn't even creative.
Honestly, Lyle Hemphill has an impossible job- his defense has
an impossible job. With a decent offense, this team would be a
lot better. I'd love for Stony Brook to be a good football team
but it's not anywhere close to that.
Bottom line, Priore needs to prove that he deserves this job at
this point. I do not think anybody can say with a straight face
that this team is better now than when it left the Big South.

SBU, In all fairness, I lived through this as a player so know
firsthand what the amount of hours are that are needed on BOTH
CARA counts and does not count, as well as going through ROTC.
As to the attendance, SBU is NOT a COLLEGE football draw and
doubt it will be compared to others, because we are not a
college football sports town. Anyone who has lived here more
than 6 months knows it. Comparing Delaware and JMU is not even a
       fair comparison- for many reasons.
The CAA website has SB at an average of 7468- and if you want to
look at comparisons- then look at Elon (7673) Towson (5364) and
Albany (5793) (not great football towns as well). But as I have
said to 88's father, if you want to speak to SH- then I am sure
he'll take your call on the whole "clear vision" thing- and
agree that the staff in certain areas can not get the job done
and with the personnel they have on the team currently. That's
       all folks!
