With the loss by Maine today, we are now tied with them in the
standings. Our game with them next week is now a must win for
both teams in the hope of keeping the playoff dream alive.bu

More food for thought. As I lay in bed unable to sleep ( not due
to SBU Football ) the loss to Sacred Heart looms even larger
now. The Pioneers lost again today and are doing nothing in the
NEC this season. When the playoff selection committee starts
comparing resumes, a loss like that will no doubt be a strike
against the Seawolves.

Very poor game by our dismal offense. We are on the bubble
barely for a play off spot even if we win out. This offense of
ours is a total disaster I have never seen anything like it at
Stonybrook.

This team is Just like the elections. If you like Obama then you
vote for Hillary. 4 more years of the same Obama policies . If
coach P gets a new 5 year contract at the end of the season, it
will be 5 more years of the same offense with the same results.
Only difference is coach Hemphill won't be the defense
coordinator for the next 5 years so a drop off in talent is
expected

This team isn't good enough to make the playoffs.

Saw the game yesterday on the web. The offense is painful to
watch. Top it off with an injury to our QB, and a backup QB that
is... well... you know

At this time based on conversations I have had with Coaches
unless a transfer from DI Program with at least 2 years of
eligibility falls into their lap they are not going after a QB
because they want to give Tyquell Fields every opportunity to
win the job this Spring however if he's not the guy then they
will go all out to get a QB for the 2018 Class. One thing to
remember is they only lose 10 players from this year's team to
graduation while next year they lose about 25 players.
As far as our Coaches and play calling I believe they wanted to
keep it as simple as possible for Carbone this year because he
doesn't the high football IQ that you want in a QB. Also they
got blindsided that Ben Holmes couldn't get in when they were
told that he would have no problem of getting into SBU. The QB
Coach/OC wasn't hear for last Spring and I heard he will have
more say on who is the next QB is.
Like everyone else who posts I'm also not happy with the offense
and one player who I wish that they didn't bring in is Jordan
Gowins as I think that Liontine just brings more passion and
works harder then he does.

Thank you again for the inside scoop with our players and
coaches, Campi....My response to that is.. I think it's a total
crapshoot and ridiculous to rely on a Juco transfer who is not
even on campus yet to Pilot a offense going forward.. For coach
P to not have a single QB on roster who can play football is
total unacceptable. SB has 5 QB under scholarship this year and
not one is ready to play college ball or isn't even a div1
player, that is total BS. From what I am herring Fields is the
next man up and has big potentials. Well, if that really is the
case then why was Carbone, who is clearly not a div1 player, our
starter. Fields, even though a Freshman, should have gotten the
start this year.
Something is just not right with this football program. We
haven't had a really good QB recruited in a very long time and
there must be a reason for that. Something internally is driving
potential div1 QB, who's ready to start away from this school. I
think I have a pretty good idea why!!!!!!!!!!

Probably the run only offense. I watched us Saturday get in
more 3rd and long situations because the defense just stuffed
our run . Good QB's can and want to throw and we don't allow
that . We never even looked to our big TE Davis nor throw to a
running back because our QB is very limited at best . William
and Mary was daring to throw all day because all they to do was
stuff the run the run and look for the short 3-5 yard pass . We
need a whole new outlook from a a new coaching staff and stop
wasting scholarships and games on wishful thinking.

By the way Irwin is getting very little scholarship money Farraj
and Cassidy are getting none while Carbone is getting some but
Fields are getting the most. also one other thing that I had
mentioned on a New Hampshire post recently is that Carbone has
been dealing with a sore Shoulder for a while now.
