HS Athletes Getting Into College To Play A Sport
By: Campi47 Date: October 21, 2016, 10:39 am

Using ben Holmes as an example when HS Athletes are preparing to
go on to College to play a sport they must go to their Guidance
Councilor and fill out the proper NCAA paper work to get
cleared by the Clearing House if you don't get cleared then you
are considered a Non Qualifier and you must go to a Junior
College and graduate such is the case with Ben Holmes when he
came out of HS he was a Non Qualifier and that is why he is at
Dean JC because in order for him to go to a 4 year College he
has to graduate. If he were a Qualifier coming out of HS he
could have gone to a JC or Prep School and left after the Fall
Semester without graduating. The big differences between JC or
Prep School are Cost $30K for some Prep Schools verses a few
thousand for a JC and Prep School doesn't count towards your 4
years of eligibility while JC does

The athlete must want to succeed academically as much as
athletically... In thi s case he did not. No excuse only
resultsl & he did not have h focus & drive to do so...bottom
line.

This is why the NCAA is a POS! I can't wait until the major
college conferences have no use for the NCAA, which hopefully
comes sooner than latter.
