I thought the game plan was poor; the D has an issue covering
the short pass & the pass rush is poor on the edge & the QB had
time to throw the ball on SBU.
I thought the D look slow to react in the 2nd half
Play calling on the offensive side was not effective in this
game; the corner was covering the WR well n SBU did not adjust &
use the RB & TE much in the passing game.
Each lost SBU has had 2 interceptions & untimely penalties...
This team needs to be more consistent on the field & thought
they lack energy n focus in this game.....

Did SB bring in a backup QB to run that third down play at the
end of the first half that ended up with a fumble? I thought
they stopped doing that.

I saw that too. Coach P going back to his old ways I guess.

Well it's the morning after and I hope everyone slept well.
Unfortunately I thought of one more negative coming out of last
night. While it is a good thing it was a non conference game, it
is the type of loss that may hurt a team when it becomes time to
consider At Large bids.
I hope the team takes these 2 weeks to put this behind them and
come back ready to get after it.

Carbone. 8 for 21, 87 yards for the game.. Listen guys. I hate
to be the bearer of bad news, however. I honestly think SB needs
to lose out the remaining games of the season.. We shouldn't go
6-5 or 5-6.That will only postpone the pain.. I think a total
cleansing is the only thing that is going to save this school
from years of disappointing seasons under the Chuck Priore
regime. We need to start from the bottom and work our way up
again. UA did with the addition of new head coach Greg Gattuso
and they are undefeated so far beating FBS UB. I would like to
see a new coaching staff from head to toe, top to bottom. What
do you guys think?? Am i being too hard on our coaching staff? I
dont think so but I would like to know what others feel about
this years team so far!
These things do happen. Maybe we can get Les Miles? lol.

I'd say so far the team has exceeded expectations. Two wins
against ranked teams, including Richmond at #2. Sacred Heart
looked pretty good to me, with a four year starter at quab.
Would not surprise me if they made the playoffs.

Sacred Heart, from the weakest conference in the FCS is 4-0 and
not ranked. Even after beating SB who was ranked tells you how
weak they are and the conference. Losing to them was pretty bad
for SB. There's no way SB would get an at large bid into the
playoffs. They would need to have min 6 or 7 wins to make it in.

Sacred Heart is also a partial scholarship program being in the
NEC I believe they are allowed 40 scholarships for football to
our 63. So the talent level wasn't there but their desire
to win was more than enough. That was a bad beating we took
Saturday folks.

It really makes you scratch your head...Beating a #2 in FBS &
then turn around and lose this game to Sacred Heart. The game
planning & execution for this game was bad.
This has to be one of the worst lost for this program in
years.....you need to question what is going on within the
program.
SBU does have talent on both sides of the ball; they need to
find a way to consistently use it right.

You live and die with your QB- their QB moved well, was accurate
with his passes, and got rid of the ball when pressured. The gap
between he and Carbone is enormous. The gap between the Sacred
Heart QB and Carbone is MASSIVE.
I can't blame the staff- you work with what you're given but the
talent pool isn't there at QB. Fields is way to green to put out
there. I don't care if Stony Brook wins against Towson- if
Carbone puts together another performance like the Sacred Heart
game, its time for a change. It is hard to imagine anybody else
being worse.
