im slightly more optimistic, though I do think we are outmatched
(even at home) playing Richmond.
you never know; sometimes this program can surprise you. either
way, by November this might be a long forgotten contest. hang
in there guys the season is long.

I will be at the game only because the weather is supposed to
be good. I expect a blowout loss again . Richmond has scored
over 30 points in its first two games . We have no passing game
and a very limited run game when teams stack 7 or 8 guys in the
box.

Wolfie, I think comparing the Big South Days to the CAA Days is
not a fair comparison. that final season in the Big South,
Essignton was protected by guys like Mike Barmiro, playing
against typically inferior opponents. we have not had an O line
to match that capability since we've been in the CAA. last
year, we had a make shift O line with guys like Connor Davis
filling in from TE to RT. this season has again got off to a
rocky start due to the O line not delivering. maybe its the new
faces, maybe not, but in my mind, the O line is not getting the
job done, and the rest of the offense suffers.

don't get me wrong, I thought guys like Connor Davis did a
fantastic job last year on the O-line, considering he was
converted from TE to that OL position. basically filled an
emergency void for Coach P last season.

And this year its Jackson Miller moving from TE to Right Tackle.
I don't think the O line has played well enough for us to even
comment on other areas of the offense. Hopefully some players
can get healthy and the new faces can start the gel with the
returners, because it's been ugly through the first two weeks.

That said, we always play teams tough at Lavalle and tomorrow
won't be an exception. Richmond is great and will most likely
leave with the W, but I think we keep it much closer than most
people will expect.

We dont have key OL starters on sideline with injuries other
than #62, the transfer from MD, who injured an ankle late in the
Temple game. What you have seen is what we got on the offensive
line. Look for simplification in blocking schemes this week as
we must establish a ground game to relieve some pressure on QB

Who would have thought we would be leading 42-14 with less than
5 minutes to go! I certainly thought we would probably lose
42-14 against Richmond!
