Richmond at Stony Brook

Time for a little chatter. I know most if not all of us our
dissapointed after last week.
It is difficult to get worked up when you know things can be so
difficult.
I am trying to build up some enthusiasm for the task and
opportunity at hand.
# 2 team in the country. Top team in our conference. Maybe the
best team we play all year (depends on what you think of
Temple). The game is in our house. If we were to do this, the
grass would be so much greener. Can anyone help me?

This team will be ready to do the best they can & i believe the
coaches will have the best game plan then can put together. It
comes down to play good mistake free football & some big plays.
SBU will half o put up 23 or more points to stay competitive in
this game.... The D is going to half to keep the QB in the
pocket & be able to cover well in the short game while putting
pressure on the QB.
It's gong to be a beautiful day to watch the game.

In 2 games, SB has 1 rushing touchdown and zero touchdowns from
Carbone. No one is expecting SB to come out victorious against
#2 Richmond, but if we dont score any points in this game either
from our running or QB then there needs to be a change
somewhere. Carbone needs to be replaced and our offensive line
needs to change, for starters. If that doesnt work against lower
level competition, SH, next week then serious coaching changes
needs to be discussed by Shawn H.. This season not lost, but
show some effort against Richmond to prove we are still a
college level football team....

Not being optimistic about this one. Richmond is better than
Temple and can score a lot of points quickly.

We all would have been thrilled in August if we were told the
team would be 1-1 at this point in the season. Heck, many of us
would be pleased if we headed into the Sacred Heart game at 1-2.
This was a brutal first thee weeks on the schedule.
I think this game will be competitive. Richmond is an excellent
team. This is a good opportunity for the team to show us that
last week was the aberration that I believe it was.
Let's go Seawolves!

After the first two weeks of the season, the SB offense has
given us no indication that they can put points on the
scoreboard.
We are not displeased at the current record, but how poorly the
offense has played.

In the 1st game there was 2 missed TD opportunity were the
reciever did not come down with the ball; & yes there was some
questionable 3rd down calls.
2nd game when you give up field position & throw 2 picks & a
fumble in 1st half & your opponent put up 24 points you are in a
serious hole; Temple had a very good game plan on SBU they
played the run & short game & shut down the offence.
The D had to be gasp in that heat & playing that many minutes in
the 1st half.
I am hopeful that we can put up at least 21 points & show some
spark in our offence; if not it's going to be a long day at SBU.
SBU will have 3rd weeks to regroup & take on Towson in
conference play; couple players should be back & i am believe
you will see a different on Offence.

Not at all optimistic about this game- not sure if I even want
to watch this game.
Opposing defens will watch what Temple did and rinse and repeat-
stack the box, force Stony Brook to pass. We have a lot of
talent at WR- guys like Kyle Essington would have a field day
with this WR talent. He would reliably hit open receivers and
let plays develop without getting happy feet. I just don't have
any confidence in our QB situation at the present- I hate it but
its making me incredibly jaded about the program as a whole. The
last three years have really been disappointing at QB- Bednarski
wasn't much better to be honest than Carbone.
I hope I'm wrong but I anticipate a Richmond blowout.

I would love them to go to a read offence; make adjustment & use
the short game if they are stacking the box. Temple stacked the
box & then at the last second pulled 2 players off the line to
cover he short game.
They played a very smart D against our offence.

It doesnt take a genius to figure out SB is a run only team!.
Temple probably watch 5 minutes of the SB/ND game and saw that
we dont have a QB and rely on the run game. Thats why they
stacked the box and Bedell had no place to run.... I am tired of
Coach P " pound and ground" going no where but in the ground..
I'll be at the game tomorrow but not until my son JV game is
over. Too be honest, I rather watch the JV game over this SB
game this year!!!!!
Prediction: 28-7 Richmond...
