Very nice event held at the arena tonight. We all were hoping
for Duke in Providence but instead it's UK.
First reaction was it's the worst case scenario for us. Compared
to the other 4s, Kentucky is miles ahead in my opinion. Calipari
is a world-class coach with world-class talent – obviously not
inferring that Coach K isn't, but UK has the ability to cut down
       the nets.
All the stuff you know needs to happen needs to happen. Jameel
isn't going to go for 40, but we're going to need 20 and 10 out
of him. He has had his way in the paint in the America East. He
will have no such luxury on Thursday night. Cal will do
everything he can to prevent Warney from getting the ball. He
has done a nice job staying out of foul trouble and that has to
continue. We will need big minutes from Tyrell and possibly
Petras to give Warney a break. He will have to work very, very
       hard for his points.
The UK backcourt is no joke. Ulis and Murray is as good a duo as
there is. Ahmad has to have a huge night defensively, presumably
on Murray, and Woodhouse has to be the second outside threat on
       offense.
Enjoy the week, everybody. Should be fun.

UK is going to have a tough time with SBU. I don't know if UK
       can pull off a miracle.
       We'll see....

I don't think Kentucky is going to have enough time to go
through all our film tape (and Indiana's, to be honest). They'll
watch our tournament games, Vanderbilt and Notre Dame, I'd
       think.
And here's the opportunity: They're going to play man, and
they're gonna see us as a one-man team and focus on stopping
Warney in the low post at all costs - and they might be right.
But they might not understand how good of a passer he is. Which
means we're going to have to be smart and quick with our cuts.
When all attention is drawn to Warney, when he absorbs all the
gravity, we need to move instantly as soon as they turn their
collective attention to him - and Warney will make the right
       pass.
We have three days to get our spacing down - not just to give
Warney the space to operate in the paint, but the spacing to
make Kentucky defenders move justenough for our guys to cut to
the hoop. A step here and there is all a smart team needs.
Defensively, we'll be okay, I believe that, although we'll have
to hide Woodhouse on someone - maybe Murray, if that makes any
sense at all. He's the slowest of the three and Woodhouse will
have a better chance staying in front of him instead of Briscoe
       or Ulis.

Cal does not show tape of other teams to his teams. The coaches
will tell them what they need to know though. You want to put
your worst defender on our top scorer? Interesting strategy.

Yeah, covering your best perimeter player with our worst
perimeter defender is not ideal. I'm just looking at Ulis and
Briscoe driving, and they'll blow by Woodhouse, no problem.
Puriefoy and Walker are quick enough laterally and athletic
enough to have a chance on them - or just bother them enough.
Because once there's penetration, everything breaks down
defensively. Those two give us the best chance to stop that -
not that it's an easy task.
And since Murray's more of a spot-up shooter (that's making
everything) than a penetrator, maybe Woodhouse can stay at home
with him. Of course, following him around picks and screens is
       another issue.
Hey, I'm grasping for straws here. You've got a big advantage at
every position other than Warney. And we need a lot to go right
       - and maybe think a little differently.

I honestly know nothing of yall, but heard you have one really
good guy. Our bigs have been very iffy this year, so that is our
main weakness. Murray had a tough night tonight, and had a hard
time getting open shots. Crazy A&M got a better seed even though
we were ranked higher and beat them tonight.

Mannnnnn. Kentucky as our first NCAA game ever. Just to make
things even more exciting. Can't wait to the Cats and the
       Seawolves on the same court!

All things considered, a 15 seed in Brooklyn would've been
better for SB. At the same time I'm sure Coach P will have the
team ready to play and for the most part over the last couple of
years SB has held their own against the top 20 teams that they
       have faced.

Kentucky's back-court is scary good. Walker is going to be on
Murray all day long which is our best chance to contain him.
Briscoe and Ullis are going to be really tough to contain- I'd
stick Puriefoy on Ullis and may need to gamble with Woodhouse on
Briscoe. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a lot of Nyama on the
floor when Briscoe is on the floor- Briscoe is so quick getting
       to the hoop.
Warney is way more refined in the post than the UK players and
has the potential to have a big game. However he does struggle a
bit against the bigger guys though he did well against Vandy
(Jones is gonna be a 1st rounder from there). I'm really
intrigued for Jameel because this game could really solidify him
on the NBA radar- he'll be a Dejuan Blair and maybe even Paul
Millsap type of player in the NBA IMHO. Guys like him are
       chronically underrated in the pros.
Overall, a lot of things need to go right for us to win:
       1. Contain Ullis- he's an amazing player and we need to play
       lock down defense
       2. Prevent too much penetration from Briscoe- great player but
his perimeter shooting is still a work in progress
       3. Don't allow too many offensive rebounds
       4. Get to the FT line and hit the free throws
       5. Don't try to run with UK- they're just more athletic than us
       (as expected)
I expect a 15-20 point loss, anything less than that will be
something to be proud about. I'm picking UK in my bracket but
       would love to be wrong!
