Another UND fan here!
I intend on attending this game as my brother lives in Hoboken.
I generally get out to NYC every year or two for a visit. I
have never been to Long Island however. So, can anyone tell me
about the game day atmosphere? Is there any tailgating? What
time to arrive? I believe the game starts at 6:00 pm.
I imagine this thread will pick up once football gets a bit
closer...Thanks in advance.

We are starting to become a tailgating school. SB is still a
very young school in comparison to its peers.. We do a pretty
good job filling up the parking lot with tailgaters, usually in
the warm season, when it gets cold, not so much. I'
d expect a nice crowd when we play you guys. There are things
for youngs kids and adults to do, ie; games, blowups, etc.....
Believe it or not But we are allowed to drink alcohol in the
tailgating lot. We have vendors who sell beer and wine in the
lot. Alcohol is not sold or permitted inside the stadium,
though.. I do a pretty good job with tailgating. Hit me up when
you are ready to come down and you are welcome to hang with my
crowd. I make a kick ass chilly, lol. "Big Fat Fan" can vouch
for that......

Thanks for the info Hammertime. Nice to hear we can have a
couple adult beverages prior to heading in to the game. At UND
games, Alcohol is allowed for tailgating, and they sell it in
the stadium since it is a city owned facility. We probably
won't bring tailgating items, but we will definitely walk around
and check it out. We may even try some of your famous chili.
We usually try to go to an away game each year. Last year we
went to Missoula for the Griz game. Great atmosphere and great
experience for an FCS football game. I will probably be
stopping by this site as football season gets closer...thanks
again for the info...

Starting to see some score predictions on the UND message board.
Not surprising to see their confidence in their team. Most sites
would trend that way. Some blowouts and some competitive picks.
There is a group who seems to feel we are an inferior opponent.
Others are being reasonable.
Anyone out there care to speculate on a score?

A lot depends upon our starting quarterback. Most people who i
know, who follows SBF feels we dont have a viable quarterback
this season and this is going to be a brutal year. I
unfortunately feel the same way.
If Carbone dramatically improves from last season then that
changes everything but I am not feeling very optimistic..
My predictions is 3 wins, 8 loses.. The 3 wins are against
Sacred Heart, Rhode Island and Maine....

Depending on who you listen to UND wins by anywhere from 3
points to 14. I say 35-20 UND over SBU. they are ranked and
our QB situation is questionable . I see a lot of 3 and outs
for us .

My prediction for this game.. ND-28, SB-17.... We improved on
the offensive line but lost Bednarski. We lost Ochi and
Cheeseboro on defense which makes us more vulnerable ..

UND was not that good when we played them two years ago. but
our QB play in that game was horrendous. I believe Kinder
played in that game, and it was horrible. "decent" QB play in
that game and we win.
