       Stony Brook vs. North Dakota

       Hey all,
Already looking forward to some college football, as our team
just started spring practice this morning to break in our new
practice facility. Pretty cool place, if you want to check it
       out .
  HTML https://youtu.be/HV2GeusQ4dU
curious to know if Stony Brook home games generally have a
webcast available, or if they ever get picked up by Fox College
Sports? I see this was changed to a Thursday game, and would
really like to watch if possible. Otherwise, I'll just have to
       stick with radio.
UND took a big step forward last season as the team really
settled into Coach Bubba Schweigert's system. The guy has done a
tremendous job in just a few years of turning this program
around and getting us on the right track. Definitely a lot of
ticked off people in Grand Forks when the playoff committee
       snubbed us last year.
       Key Players:
JR QB - Keaton Studsrud: Consistency will be the question here.
Rough patches early in the season, but a very strong finish.
SO RB - John Santiago: FCS All American RB as a true freshman.
Links below, show this guys speed. A ton of depth behind
       Santiago as well.

       (UND vs N. Colorado)

       (UND vs MT State)
JR S - Cole Reyes - Tremendous, Hard Hitting Safety. Could be
the top safety in the Big Sky next season, if not the FCS.
Front 7 - Our run D is very stout, with a lot of depth.
Definitely the strength of this defense.
       Question Marks:
WR: UND did not have a great passing game last season. Improved
towards the end, and could be better this year with some new
additions, but still a lot to prove.
Secondary: Aside from Cole Reyes, our D-backs struggled last
season (see our loss to MT, yikes). Though this group was
extremely young and thin. Should be improved this year, but
       still a lot to prove.
Looking forward to talking some football with you all next fall!

ND Fan: good to hear from you. since the first game is on a
Thursday, we might get some decent video coverage through one of
the local sports network affiliates. otherwise you will have to
depend on the Stony Brook webcast, which is usually mediocre
       quality at best.

This is the very quiet season . Looking forward to our game in
September. If any of you get chance spend a day or two in NYC .
That time of year the city is great nothing like the Big Apple.

       Another UND fan here!
I intend on attending this game as my brother lives in Hoboken.
I generally get out to NYC every year or two for a visit. I
have never been to Long Island however. So, can anyone tell me
about the game day atmosphere? Is there any tailgating? What
time to arrive? I believe the game starts at 6:00 pm.
I imagine this thread will pick up once football gets a bit
       closer...Thanks in advance.

We are starting to become a tailgating school. SB is still a
very young school in comparison to its peers.. We do a pretty
good job filling up the parking lot with tailgaters, usually in
the warm season, when it gets cold, not so much. I'
d expect a nice crowd when we play you guys. There are things
for youngs kids and adults to do, ie; games, blowups, etc.....
Believe it or not But we are allowed to drink alcohol in the
tailgating lot. We have vendors who sell beer and wine in the
lot. Alcohol is not sold or permitted inside the stadium,
though.. I do a pretty good job with tailgating. Hit me up when
you are ready to come down and you are welcome to hang with my
crowd. I make a kick ass chilly, lol. "Big Fat Fan" can vouch
       for that......

I liked Kocis in high school, just hope he doesn't suffer the
same fate as Steven Ferierra from sayville. Both are similar
players. And keeping with that I love what Ben Holmes could
bring if he qualifies but again they had AJ Otranto with similar
skills and same size and he never got a shot. I just hope they
go outside their profile when they choose the QB. The days of
the stiff legged QB's have to be over. Best player at the
position, big, small, fat, fast, it all don't matter to me as
long as the qb has some swag and some game to back it up.

Hammertime's chili is great, and the pumpkin beer is awesome
       also.
