It is a different Hartford team, but we still refuse to feed the
post to Warney. It's just a matter of taking a couple of
dribbles and recalculating the entry angle. He's open, even in
the zone, even with the added attention.
The intention just isn't there, and that's insane.

For the record, it's insane not to feed the post because it
opens up opportunities for everyone else. Beyond his hook
sequence, Warney is an exceptional passer. His gravity draws the
entire defense. That leads to Walker and McGrew's cuts and
Purifoy and Woodhouse's open looks from 3. It starts everything.
       It's imperative to begin there.
       And yet...

Seawolves letting Hartford hang around. Put them away. lets go.
       In other news:
Hofstra playing in the CAA Championship game right now on NBC-SN
leading 56-50 with 11min to go. Congratulations to that fan
base. What a turnaround year for them. Its great for our rivalry
and its great for Long Island College basketball. Would be nice
to set some sort of Long Island Big 4 matchups between St.
John's, Stony Brook, Long Island Brooklyn, and Hofstra

Looks like we gonna face Vermont. Going to be tough game.. but
if not now, when? Tre and Warney need to have big games like
       today.

Looking forward to Saturday. Will this finally be the year we
conquer the beast? Who knows- but its been a hell of a ride.
       Thoughts from this game:
       1. Puriefoy started off cold but hit some huge 3s to put this
       away
       2. Woodhouse continues to show a hot hand from downtown too
       3. Walker filled the staff sheets with PT/RB/AST...and
turnovers. He's frustrating and/or exciting at any given point
in the game. His block on Pancake was outrageous
       4. Mitchell is getting some confidence shooting the ball which I
like- he and Nyama shared time. Nyama looked like he may have
       turned over his ankle late
       5. McGrew started off hot- we will need a good game from him
       this weekend to win
Perimeter defense was a lot better today- its hard to defend
against a team like Hartford which just chucks up 3s but they
contested a good chunk of those shots unlike what Albany did.
This was a WAY better game for our mojo than the UMBC one- just
       much better played all around.
I think we've seen the favorites for conference POY next year
the last two weeks with Lyles and Pancake- both dudes are the
best players either program has had in the last 5+ years.

I pretty much agree with Wolfiemd. To add my two cents, I am not
surprised to see Kam playing well. He was close to 40% last year
from three, and if I recall was 5 for 6 from three in the win
last year against UW. He seems to have found his shot/confidence
tonight, we'll need that again on Saturday.
If SB hits over 75% from the line and over 40% from three they
will be a very tough out for Vermont.
Side note one, great atmosphere tonight. Let's keep it up on
       Saturday.
Side note two, from what I have seen from UMBC and Hartford, I
think we can expect a little more parity in the conference next
       year.
