we have a very underrated recruiter at SBU in Tony Thompson he
was responsible for finding Victor Ochi several years ago.
His areas are upstate NY, New York City and Nassau County and he
is responsible for convincing all these Archbishop Stepinac kids
to come here as well as Cardinal Hayes.

You can have a great QB's but without a line he will be damage
goods; build the line on both sides of the field & great things
will happen.
If SBU does not accomplish this it will be very short season &
they have now used another scholorship witch SBU is in real
short supply of this season.
I am very concearned about this & and all fans should be; SBU
does not have skilled players to pick up the slack this year.

I'm going out on a limb right now and say that SBU will have a
very good OL in 2016 and if I'm wrong then the coaching staff
should go but from what I'm hearing is that they have been
responding to the OL coach in the weight room and in there
meetings however we will have to see how they look in spring
ball

We do already have 2 O linemen and 2 D linemen committed for
next year.

OL recruits will be 1 year out; SBU OL will have a new C, RT on
the current staff with no playing time at all....n back up
players w very little game time experience.
I have heard good things about the new OL coach; but your
asking alot w the current experience on this OL roaster. You win
games with good OL & DL.
The CAA is a very good division w size and speed on the line &
off the edge; be proactive n build depth now rather then wait to
spring & have no options.

I understand everyone's concern about our OL/DL, however I know
it's a lot to expect from on both sides of the ball with so many
new people having to be plugged in but remember they did
practice with the team last year so they at least they have some
idea and the fact that Coach P (OL) now has hired a OL Coach
that's one less thing he has to worry about. I know the strength
of the CAA is tough week in and week out but let's see how they
look in the Spring before we put a R.I.P. sign on the 2016
season before it even starts.
As far as why take a QB on a scholarship well he was ranked by
many College Scouts as a Top 10 Player in New York State and
they just couldn't pass on him.

two years ago, SB started two RS frosh kids on the OL. they
struggled a bit but got better as the season progressed. this
past season they were fine. we were in a bind at RT this season
and P move Connor Davis from TE to RT. I thought Connor did a
fantastic job in that position. I hear he is going back to TE
this season. so I hope they have a big kid to fill in at RT
this upcoming season. as for the QB, you have to have a good
one on the roster. if they think this HS kid is the real deal,
then lets grab him up. I hope he signs with us next week.

to worry about is the JC kid he is still on the fence
