Now they have 2 transfers at WR & Bolden, Keith coming off acl
tear, & now Anderson all three are very good. I no SBU submitted
a hardship letter for Keith i hope it was approved.
They need to resolve the OL & DL issue w players; 2 additional
players are not coming back this year on D. I was hoping they
could pick up a JR OL w game time experience.

I believe they have at least 2 players that redshirted last year
that were JC players
They are not done adding players besides high school players
they are still talking to JC players and are looking at players
who want to transfer

I like what P is doing by picking up these FBS transfers. I
think it points to the realization that the LI recruiting market
is thin, thin in regards to being able to compete at the CAA
conference level. Now the QB position is going to be critical
for the upcoming season. with healthy RBs and WRs, we do have
big play potential if the OL and QB can perform.

First and foremost, we must shore up our O line. I don't care if
SB finds a Tom Brady as our Q. If our line can't hold the
blitzing defense for more than a tenth of a second the best Q in
the FCS is useless.. We haven't had a solid line in 3 years...

I'm not sure this is the case. Priore has always brought in a
lot of FBS transfers, and one of these transfers (Gowins) is a
local kid. By in large I think we've had a lot of success with
our local kids on scholarships.
It does seem like the staff likes QB's from California and WRs
from the traditional hotbed areas as well.

I second that motion . Add OL guys and big ones. All the
running backs in football cant run without blocking and barring
injury settle on one QB for the season .

Looks lioke SBU just enhanced its QB corps with a commitment
from Stepinac recruit Tyquell Fields. Could be a good one to
compete with JUCO commit Ben Holmes this coming season. What's
nice is that the Seawolves have already received a commitment
from Tyquell's teammate, T J Morrison. Here's a little blurb on
Fields:

The pipeline with Stepinac just got better I believe we now have
5 or 6 players and I told the coaches that I plan on getting the
2016 team to come here for their 7 on 7 in the Summer

I really like the Stepinac pipeline we have in place now.
highlights of Fields are here

I don't know what to look for when evaluating qb talent. QB's
typically all look awesome to me when I see their highlights. If
someone more knowledgeable wouldn't minds sharing their
thoughts, I'd appreciate it.

I don't know a lot however this is what I know a QB should have
a quick release, be able to not only operate in the pocket but
also outside the pocket, not give up on the pass and just take
off when pushed out of the pocket, be able to see the field and
just not lock on 1 receiver, have football smarts, have quick
feet so not to throw flat footed and be very coachable. I know
size is important but athleticism is more important
I know I must have left things out
