little out of league at competitive CAA? May be he reached his
ceiling when we won multiple championship at the Big South. Is
it time for an upgrade at the most important position of our
football program, i.e. should Heilbron start looking for a new
football HC? Or am I missing something. May be it does take time
to adjust to the CAA competition.

I'm not sure if Coach P is necessarily being out-coached in the
CAA, but if he doesn't make the FCS playoffs this year, it's
hard to imagine he's still going to be running the show 2017.

If the offense didn't fit his talents, then Holmes would not
have come here. This is not your usual SB SB. And before we say
someone is out coached, let's remember injuries are part of it.
Although the CAA is strong, its not the SEC. If your going to
root for a team , then root for them. But some here seem to not
want success so they can have a new coach.

it seems pretty unlikely that a JC recruit would be able to
demand that SB change their offense or else he would not attend
the school. I find that hard to believe. what seems more
plausible is that our AD had a sit down meeting with Coach P and
told him that things had to change this season, or else. I
suspect that P was told to give up his O line coaching duties
and relinquish some of his play calling duties. Last year,
Coach Behrman often wanted to do things differently than the
straight ground-and-pound approach that has been the hall mark
of the Coach P tenure at SB. but P kept bringing the Offense
back to the ground game. Frankly, it will be interesting to see
what kind of run/pass mix they come up with. as for being out
coached, I tend to agree with the bloggers that think Coach P is
stubborn, and this leads to uncreative play calling. P uses the
brute force approach, mano a mano. other teams, use trickery
and deception, even the good teams that make the FCS playoffs
use trickery and deception to their advantage. P rarely does
that. Instead he like to run off tackle from the one and two
yard lines. How many times have we seen Bedell or Liotine
stuffed at the line for no gain?? a lot. maybe this new QB
coach will make a difference in play calling. as an SB football
fan, I sure hope so.

Off Topic. I thought SB was suppose to break ground on the
additional 2000 seats under the scoreboard in early Spring? As
of last week, I see no change. Maybe someone with some inside
info on that can enlighten us with this next stage of the
expansion!

I just heard today that QB Ben Holmes from Nassau CC still has
Academic issues
The TE transfer is Jerome Washington and he actually did a year
of Prep School at the Stony Brook School before going to the
University of Miami
There are 2 Skills Camps coming up one in Nassau County and the
other in Suffolk County on May 14 and 15 right now there are 17
College Coaches committed to working the Suffolk Camp and 14
committed to the Nassau Camp SBU will be at both of them I
should have the info up on my website www.liblitz.com by Tuesday
it's opened to players for the Class of 2017-2019

Thank you for the up-date with those camps, Campi. I think
Shoreham Wading River High School are one of these schools
holding the camps...I'm glad kids have opportunities today to
showcase their skills to Div1 college coaches to see. Good
stuff!!!!!

The last thing this team needs is another TE; we have 8 on this
team. But we only have 9 lineman on OL; what the hell is the
thinking on this staff.
Scholarship should be used on the best player available to fill
a void; OL is the most concearning issue this team has. This
team has 4 good TE already; there is not one person who can
justify this to me.
Or use the scholarship on a QB ASAP; this team is going to need
one real bad......

Offensive Line,QB both critical to this team . I suspect
another lackluster season maybe 5-6 is in the making . If our
prize QB recruit isn't going to make it academically then
start a true freshman and let him develop overtime.

If a prize quarterback doesn't make the team, we're 5-6 or 4-7
at best. Then its time for coach P to go.. If he cant bring in a
quality quarterback to take this team back, then we need someone
who can!

I just read that Jerome Washington will probaly sign with
Rutgers....it was his 1st pick that he wanted to go before
Miami.
We need a QB real bad & more layers for the OL; we are thin at
the OL position this year & 1 injury could be devastating..
i am hopeful that the transfer QB can get his academics
together to transfer; let's say a prayer.
