as for missing people on the roster, I had heard that P was
taking scholarships away from a couple of kids that they felt
were not developing, in order to make scholarships available to
new recruits. Carlos was never going to play QB for us.
Liotine will be on scholarship this season, after working last
year as a walk on. we have a solid group of RBs, but as last
year pointed out to all of us, a few key injuries can decimate
the RB ranks. overall, things looks good for next year. the
key areas will be the O-line development and the play calling.
should be fun to see how the QB competition plays out. Carbonne
went from "sure thing" to "very questionable" after his
performance against Elon.

How does this Holmes good look? I know he had FBS offers. Looks
like a very good pick up for SB. Any thoughts?

Was Dakota a LB Freshman from California????

P told me that he really liked Holmes. saw him numerous times
since he was at a local JC. he just wished the kid was taller.
I see he is listed at 5'11". but what the heck, Vernon adams
from Oregon is only 5'9", and look at Russell Wilson. so if the
kid has game.... he will get it done.

Holmes tape looks very impressive, Wr for SBU should be happy !!
Looks like things are rolling for them. That's if he gets the
start.

That's a big if . Hopefully he catches on to our offense this
summer and starts without the QB shuffle .

Our 6' 2" 295 lbs OL recruit Anthony Catapano went off for 26
points and 15 rebounds in a basketball win over Manhasset today.
I'm super impressed that Catapano is a three sport star at Carey
at 295 lbs, and I imagine it bodes really well for his future in
football.
Maybe an interesting fact, a couple years ago his brother was
the Thorpe award winning as the best hs football player in
Nassau county, and is currently a quarterback at DII Southern
Connecticut State

Recently I sat down with some members of the SBU Coaching Staff
and one question I asked was when do you pull a players
scholarship and the answer I got is when their character come
into question, dispensary issues, academics. If a player doesn't
develop the way they hope they would do but has none of the
other issues they won't pull it because if they want to recruit
another player from the same school the Coaches want to be
welcomed there to recruit that player so they will bite the
bullet and not pull the scholarship.
