Both Fields and Holmes look better than they have right now. Got
to get both, they would be set for a while. Big upgrade
athletically.

On Sunday I was at a Football Combine in Garden City and was
with the Nassau CC Coaches and while Ben Holmes can't enroll
until he graduates it hasn't stopped him from being on the Stony
Brook Campus and working out some of his future teammates and he
is according to his JC Coaches 100% sure of signing on Wednesday
Also according to some of the HS Coaches that were there is SBU
will be going to more of a Spread Offense in 2016 and while I
can't put his name out they have offered someone to be the QB
Coach but still haven't got an OC yet but it's coming soon
In the last week they have added 6 walk-on players and probably
there will be a few more Scholarship added by Wednesday's
Signing Day

Great info as always Campi, much appreciated.
If we do go to a spread, I imagine its going to be a spread with
consistent reliance on the running game. I don't want to have
our team throwing 50 times a game as we have WAY too much talent
at RB to not take advantage of it. However, if you utilize
something like Dana Holgersen's Spread I, you have tons of
opportunities to keep the running game going.

According to NCC twitter, Ben Holmes signed with Stony Brook
officially. Gentlemen, we have our Day 1 starter- this offense
is going to be a lot of fun to watch
We have a ton of talent at the skill positions now.
QB- Holmes with Carbone to backup (Holmes had FBS interest, I
assume he will get the starting nod here)
RB- Bedell/White/Liburd/Gowins/Fredericks (that's a deep group
of RB, somebody will RS)
WR- Bolden/Wingate/Keith/Alston
And we finally have a legitimate PR/KR with Alston now too which
was a huge void in this team
That's a group that I think can run with anybody. If we move to
a more spread offense, look out CAA. If our line can block, this
has the potential to be a very exciting offense.

good news. of course, depth is critical in football because of
the full contact nature. so this is good. of course, we need
to avoid the QB by committee.
I cant help but to think- with this stable of RBs- and
potentially a mobile QB- put it to work. pro set, multiple RB
sets, make the defense guess both ways AND up the middle.
perhaps triple option, perhaps read option. use them like a
bradshaw/Jacobs combo, an outside and inside threat. run backs
out of the backfield and into 5 yard outs or as a safety valve.

That's how Priore always sounds. Big deal getting those 2 Qb's.
Alot of NY guys. 2 more from Stepinac. Looks like a solid class
so far. The Qb's are huge.
