Fire coach P and his entire staff.. I thank him for taking us to
CAA and that seems to be his ceiling. He would be great for
another ambitious FCS school that is trying make a name and
trying reach higher in FCS landscape, like Monmouth.
Stony Brook trying to reach top of CAA and may be to FBS
someday.. but for FBS dream, winning is a requirement since only
winning will bring more people to the games.

a comment from the newsday article on the Elon game.
Charlie Accetta
"I think the loss is on my back," Carbone said. "That was my
fault. I played a pretty bad game. I take responsibility for
that loss."
At this point in the season, it’s a little ridiculous that these
kids aren’t better stage-managed in their quotes to the press,
because this is a third-rate talent being asked to shoulder the
failure of his coaches. There is NO WAY this kid should be
running plays out of two or three-wide formations. If he and the
running backs are going to succeed in rushing the ball, they
need more big bodies at the point of attack. The kid didn’t
fail. You could argue that they wasted a scholarship (and if you
ask the people in the stands, that’s not even the argument, for
Carbone or Bednarski). But, the offensive system that Priore
employs, with all of its plays and formations, depends on a
consistent running game and a quarterback who doesn’t make bad
decisions. That he chose to continue to run that system when the
team had neither turned this season into a disaster. There were
hints of this late last season. Someone isn’t paying attention
and, because of that, we get sound bites like this:
"I told the team this before the game: I've got four games to
coach in maybe my career because who knows? Who knows what's
going to happen tomorrow morning?" Priore said.
So, now we have this guy, this bizarro Knute Rockne, giving
pregame suicide speeches to his team. Fire him now, before he
does any more damage. The season is already shot.
