SBUFan: I hear you man, but we got to the playoffs those two
years by winning the Big South. at the rate we are going, we
wont win the CAA, nor get up high enough in the top teams in the
CAA to make the playoffs to duplicate the magic runs you noted.
Brute strength by SB Football and some fancy running by Maysonet
was enough to get us in the playoffs in the Big South. that
just wont cut it in the CAA, and the sooner the coaching staff
figures that out, the sooner we can get to an offensive game
plan that will win games. Our D is stout right now, a better
offensive performance last week would have given our D a chance
to rest up and they would not have been so gassed. We have
loads of offensive talent: from QB, RB, WR and line. but we
have to have smarter play calling, more play variety and STOP
this darn QB rotation game. I heard the P's contract runs out
after 2016, and unless the team does well this season AND next,
I'll bet the AD will not be bringing him back. that's what's so
perplexing to me, P must know this also, and he is still holding
the team back with his play calling and personnel moves.

I have to totally agree. Rotating qbs is moronic. What do they
owe Bednarski, he can't throw and if Carbone is the future let
him go. We could have a 4yr QB, instead they insist on playing
Bednarski. Figure it out already, this is 2yrs now. I also think
moving to Caa was a bad move. The big south has been a 2 team
playoff bid the last 3yrs. That includes SB's last year in the
big south. Even if the goal is to go FBS , coastal Carolina is
making the move and playing in the CAA had nothing to do with
it.

I think moving into the CAA was a good move and we should be
moving all our sports into the CAA and get out of the AE..
Moving into the CAA creates better recruiting. I think once
Stony Brook upgrades it's facilities,ie: indoor workout
building, new locker room, etc... we will attract better
Athletes. I also think SB coaches needs to do a better job
recruiting those Athletes. As far as coach P using 2
quarterbacks in a game, he is making a huge mistake once again.
This is one of many issues I have with him and I have been
saying this for years Chrissy!!!!! Our AD really must consider
making a change at the end of the season and and find a a coach
with big league experience, pay him the $$ he deserves and get
back into our winning ways again. Coach P was great when we were
sub div1 and the Big South, he is not good for the upper FCS
conference and certainly not good for a move into the FBS,
something we all want!!!!!!!!!

Chrissy, here is what you owe Bednarski after you name him your
starter: you owe him an opportunity to play, and show what he
can do out there. Coach P is not doing that. Coach P tried this
idiot rotation scheme last season with Kinder and Bednarski.
you'd have thought he learned. Bednarski was 4-4 as a starter,
could have been 6-2 with a bit of support from rest of team and
the coaching staff.

Chrissy, is the water too deep in the big boy pool for you? the
CAA is competitive. geez. all I'm asking is for the moronic
coaching staff to either adapt to play CAA ball, or get the heck
out of Dodge and let a new staff take a shot.

Making the playoffs is important. It doesn't matter what conf
erance you are in. We have good athletes. As far as Bednarski
goes 4 & 4 does not make him Aaron Rodgers. He is not fully
healthy after surgery and Carbine is better. If you guys like
being 500 than so be it. I'd rather have them in the playoffs.
Kids don't care if they play NH, JMU, or Main. They want to play
for a school that wins and makes the playoffs. When your a
school like SB you stay in the conf that gives you a better shot
at post season, and that includes all sports. If its not broke
don't fix it and it wasn't broke in 2011 and 2012. Winning is
the ticket, not the conf.
