White is a stud. Btween him and Bedell, they are gonna be tough
to stop. As far as the o line goes, they need the reps. This it
what they do best is run the ball. Pass blocking takes more out
of you cause you are absorbing hits. Run blocking lets them
deliver the hits. The line was bad the last couple years. These
are young kids, they will be fine. Plenty of gas in the tank.
       Rain kept the crowd down.

Chrissy i disagree; i spoke with other coaches & players at the
next level & that is alot of reps to give in a game.
You half to sub your players & keep them fresh & cut back on
possible injuries due to fatigue in the game.
This team does not have depth...

good for the weather... but it WILL rain on gameday when we
eventually move to these 10k and 20k stadia that we are talking
       about. that's all.

sounds like bednarski's shoulder is still a bit sore. I wonder
how much more we see of carbone then against NH.

The weather was a major factor Saturday night. I hope we get
to 7K this week. I don't expect a sell out every game with
the exception being Homecoming and the Albany game. Starting
Carbone may not be as bad as it sounds. UNH needs to figure out
how to defend him because he can pass and run and he seems very
       confident back there.

I think Bednarski will get the start if his shoulder is OK. I
don't think they are going into this week of practice thinking
that Carbone is the starter. they want Bednarski's experience
under center if at all possible.

the CAA finally shows SBU some love.
STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stacey Bedell, a junior running back on the
Stony Brook football team, was named the Colonial Athletic
Association’s Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced
       on Monday.
Bedell, a native of Mastic Beach, N.Y., piled up 133 yards on 22
rushing attempts in the Seawolves’ dominant 38-9 win over
Central Connecticut State on Saturday night in Kenneth P.
LaValle Stadium. Bedell scored a career-high three touchdowns on
the ground, coming from 25 yards, eight yards and two yards out,
       respectively.
The performance marked his seventh-career 100-yard rushing game.
Bedell and Stony Brook opens the CAA schedule when they host New
Hampshire on September 19 at LaValle Stadium. Kickoff is set for
7 p.m. For ticket information or to reserve your spot in
       Seawolves Town, call 631-632-WOLF.
