16-7 Toledo lead. These guys are too big for us. Lets just hope
we make it out of here without injuries. Add the rain to this
mess

After another hour of rain delay. Game is officially SUSPENDED
prior to the start of the second half.
Toledo led 17 to 6. However, this will go down in the history
books as if it never happened. A rare suspension but the game
ends 0-0.
Good night all. Not a nice way to open the season.
Hopefully next week proves to be more exciting. Hope to see you
all at Seawolves Town. Kenneth P. La Valle Stadium

I am encouraged by what I saw from the offensive line last
night. That first drive was impressive against high quality
competition. Bedell ran well and for the most part Connor threw
the ball well. I liked the play calling too. The defense also
impressed. Unfortunately, after the first drive the offense was
stuck with their backs to the endzone on the other first quarter
possessions and certainly necessitated some conservative play
calling at that point. What happened after the rain delay was
fairly typical. Hard to keep your edge and focus after a 3 hour
delay. At that point, size, speed and talent is likely to
overwhelm the undermanned as it did. The mental mistakes were
frustrating. Something they have to overcome going forward.
Looking forward to Seawolf Town and a big win vs Central CT next
week.

There were some good points to come out of last night.
Hopefully the mental mistakes are corrected by next Saturday .
Toledo is a very good MAC Team and we were overmatched last
night.

Its a shame our season opener was spoiled like that. I was so
excited to watch our wolves. Stayed up past midnight but mother
nature had plans other than football.
Nonetheless I'm hoping next Saturday turns out to be a great
day. Lets pray for a sellout

we went to the game last night- and believe me no one watching
the game on TV was more frustrated than those who stayed behind
to watch the game! Hell, after the first burst of rain the
Toledo student section all but disappeared into the night. Like
some of have said there was some good stuff- but Thompson needs
to clean up the KO return and punt return. Washington made a
really poor choice on trying to take a punt from the 10 and then
moved us backwards to the 5 and of course puts us in a bind to
start on O.
Then Hart just letting the KO bounce on the ground, is just so
unacceptable that he should not even be back there again. And
then we cant even got a return out to the 15 on a ball that
lands on the one yard line? For God's sake just stand on the
Goal line and if the ball goes to the end zone just down it and
take it out the 25! How hard is that to do? Puts our O in a poor
situation and then when we can't move the ball forces us to punt
deep in our end zone.
Looking for to the home game- and hopefully better weather. GO
SB!
