Re: 2015 Stony Brook Seawolves Football Season

I was forwarded this information from a person on the FB team,
and wanted to put it out there for all of you to consider making
a contribution to a worthy cause. Definitely a worthwhile
effort being spearheaded by the SB football team.
Seawolves and Seawolves Fans we need your help.
As part of the football student-athlete leadership team for the
Uplifting Athletes Stony Brook Chapter, we are working hard to
prepare for our first annual Lift For Life held during our
workouts from Wednesday, April 29th to Friday, May 1st.
Uplifting Athletes is a national nonprofit organization aligning
college football with rare diseases.
Each campus chapter is run by current football student-athletes
and works to elevate its chosen rare disease as a national
priority through outreach, research, education and advocacy.
The network of university chapters nationwide brings the mission
of Uplifting Athletes to life. Here at Stony Brook, our chapter
supports the rare disease Medulloblastoma.
The Seawolves football team joined the fight against
Medulloblastoma in honor of Joe Feminella, the Seawolves
14-year-old co-captain who was diagnosed with the disease when
he was 5. Our Lift For Life event is our main fundraiser in
support of raising research dollars for this rare disease.
Please consider supporting our Lift For Life by donating to our
Chapter at give.upliftingathletes.org/SBUlift2015
Visit upliftingathletes.org and learn more about why Stony Brook
is part of the Uplifting Athletes team in this national fight
against rare diseases. Thank you for your support.
Together … We Are … Stronger!

Sloan will be competing for a spot on the D line. . No
guarantees he will even start. We have a very good front four
again this season with Valentine and Camara among others
stacking the line!!

Sloan was eithederachieving or playing at the wrong level. Went
to cause to be an offensive lineman. I hope he has to earn it
cause the DL is solid. Not a big fan of these 1 and done guys.
The Kinder experiment was a flop. Doesn't sound like he is in
the best shape. We will see.

He missed his entire redshirt freshman season with an injury.
He'll most likely appeal and get sixth year of eligibility like
Dan Mulrooney did a couple years back. We haven't had many true
interior defensive linemen. This is gives a huge body inside
with some ACC experience, not to mention a local kid. I like it
a lot.

It should some depth at the DT position; you can never have
enough due to injuries during the season. I do agree with 1 year
wonders; its hard to build cohesiveness with others players on
the line.
We had injuries last in the season last year & it made it
difficult to win some of the games.
