well, unless you are traveling to NH this weekend, we are
watching the SB game on the computer >:(
CAA chose to televise Albany vs Colgate instead of our match up
with NH.
I assume we can pick up a link from CAA to watch the game for
free, otherwise you have to pay UNH for access to their
streaming video.

BFF. Can you provide us the link from CAA for that game!

Pulled this off The Sports Network site:
Stony Brook (4-4, 3-1 CAA) at X-No. 3 New Hampshire (5-1, 3-0),
3 p.m. This is a dangerous game for UNH even after having a bye.
The visiting Seawolves have been incredibly good on defense,
ranking first in the FCS in total defense (220.5 ypg), second in
scoring defense (11 ppg), second in third-down conversion
percentage defense (.235), second in red zone defense (.500),
third in rushing defense (74 ypg) and fifth in passing defense
(146.5 ypg). That's North Dakota State-esque. A potential great
one-on-one matchup: UNH All-America wide receiver R.J. Harris
shadowed by Stony Brook senior cornerback Davonte Anderson.

Well that was enough to get me excited. If the offense can
maintain possession for a decent amount of time I think we can
keep this game close. As we all know with our offense this is a
huge IF. I think Will Tye will be key to converting 3rd downs if
we choose to use him. If Bednarski can be consistent, mixing the
run game with short passes will help us control the ball.
Also should an upset occur it would not be good for the CAA.

Davonte is one of my favorite players to watch.
That third down conversion % i think is so important.
Especially in the more "cloud of dust" old school type of
offense. Maybe not so much in the get rich quick west coast
schemes where its feast or famine. When you chip away and play
the field position game, every single stop is so critical
against a better team. On average, an offense gets what 8-10
drives per game or so? If you can shut out a quarter of play
with two 3 and outs you improve your chances of slaying the
giant.
Sorry im rambling. When the NYG tore through the playoffs twice
in four years, once with a 9-7 record on a wild card ticket, the
other being 10-6, most people attribute that to Manning's
heroics and Bradshaw/Jacobs chipping away at defenses,
Plaxico/Cruz, etc. I attribute it to the interior defense
pressing the QB, forcing bad passes and ruining drives with one
sack. Each sack or TFL can turn a 2nd and 10 into a 3rd and 18
and shut down better teams.
And so its no wonder the NYG beat the NE juggernaut TWICE, with
only 17 and 18 points on the board.
So long story short, third down conversion defense is important,
to me at least. ;D

I want Bednarski to be a good game manager this weekend. he
does not have to carry the O, he has a lot of supporting cast in
our running game, that should make the passing game easy to
exploit. if he can make the passes he is assigned to make,
eliminate turnovers (no picks) and avoid negative plays (dropped
snaps), the O will move the ball. If this can be done, we will
control both sides of the ball and have a very good chance of
winning this game.

On my question to SB Athletics on how we can view the game,
Mr. Chen: is this our only way to view the upcoming SB vs.UNH
game is to pay $10 to watch the UNH live stream of the game? or
are there other options available? Will CAA be streaming this
game also?

I just received this response::
"Yes, the only way to view Saturday's game at UNH is to sign up
with their subscription service. The CAA only streams games that
it is producing for linear television. Saturday's game is not a
TV game, so it's up to the home team on how they provide the
live video.
Thanks,
Tom"

Todays game will be a good test of our defense especially our
DB.. Devonte Andersen and Max Martinez must play their best game
of the year if we have any chance of holding UNH explosive
offense.. And our defensive line needs to put more pressure on
the Quarterback limiting the amount of time he has to scan the
field.. Even tho we held ELON to 3 points, I thought their
Quarterback had too much time in the pocket to make passes!
