Jaghatai : The reason the stands were so empty was that
apparently a couple weeks ago Towson had an incident involving
someone hurt by a beer bottle outside the stadium that involved
underage drinking. In response, the administration banned
student tailgating and the students in response to that decision
were "boycotting" the game. I heard this from a Towson
tailgater.

As someone who lives in Baltimore and was at the game, they
did not ban tailgating. It was still allowed and you could drink
if you were of proper age.

Toonami you are correct..
They had to show ID to drink if they were a student; but i
thought the tailgate was not much fun.
Hardly anyone showed; i was ready for this win & to have fun...
1st time i only had to drive 10 miles from Belair o ya...
Driving home after a stony brook game is tough..

We talked to a Towson fan who told us that the person injured a
couple weeks ago was the daughter of the vice chancellor of the
school. the girl was drunk and tried to do a backflip off the
bed of a pick up truck and struck her head. some stitches but
not too badly hurt. so the next week, last week, the campus
cops cracked down hard on all the under age drinkers, giving
many of them citations. so in response, the student body
organized this informal protest of the game yesterday, to
protest the crackdown on underage drinking at the tailgates.
like this stuff never happens anywhere else, but when the kid
that gets hurt is the vice chancellors daughter, then there will
be "hell to pay".

All school have there politics; it's usually the money backing
it or the administration. Having tailgating does has it's issues
even at stony brook i seen students way out of controll.
just dont want to see anyone get hurt on making a bad decision.

Once again Kenner comes in the game and shows that he deserves
to be featured along with Bedell in the SBU backfield. He gets
positive yardage every time. The kid deserves 12-15 carries
EVERY game in this offense.
