This was team loss if I've ever seen one. just about every
facet of the team misfired in critical situations. man for man,
it think we had the superior talent, but we kept shooting
ourselves in the foot. Bednarski missed a few passes, receivers
dropped some easy balls that would have extended drives, kick
off and punt return fumbles in key situations, and then of
course the D giving up a couple huge TD plays, the most painful
one with less than a minute to go in the game. that was our
game for the taking, but we gave it back to them. the best note
is that the O seems to be jelling. I praise the coaching staff
for opening up the O a bit and throwing on the early downs. I
was shocked to see us throw three straight times on the first
possession. you could really see how that loosened up the WM D
line. my only complaint was that we went conservative in the
third quarter and went back to ground and pound, which WM D
stuffed. the drive to take the lead in fourth qtr was great mix
of pass and run. we have a tremendous amount of potential on
this team. lets make a run at the rest of the conf schedule and
try to get one of those playoff spots. Go 'Wolves.

That punt fck up really hurt. I couldn't believe it. I was just
saying to myself "Please tell me he didn't touch it, PLEASE" but
he did and we lost that advantageous position past midfield. It
was a shame. a lot of big mistakes in crucial points of the game
took us out of it. If you are leading with 1:21 to go how hard
could it be to hold the freaking game.

The team is getting better; smart change at QB.
They can compete this year in the CAA; the O will progress
       throughout the year.

Much more impressed with this team- we'll be good next year but
we gotta figure out who we're going with at QB. Bednarski missed
some easy throws and his WR didn't help on a few plays. That
fumble by Coker, the mishap on that punt, and that busted play
that led to the Tribe TD really disappointed me.
Ultimately, the most important question this year is figuring
out who's gonna be our QB next year. Bednarski had an OK game
but I'm interested to see what AJ has to offer. Yeah he doesn't
have perfect size but he's got the arm to make it happen.

       Tough loss.
We had failures in all phases of the game, and still had a shot
       to win.
The fumbles, drops, etc are on the players. But considering
that they have had those problems all season, I start to wonder
if this is being worked on (ball security, JUGS machine, etc).
A bigger issue for me was poor football decision making. Going
ultraconservative to try and kill the clock will not work for
us. It didn't work well against AIC and it cost us a win
against Bryant, why would it start working now?
On a more tactical note, why wouldn't they tell Bedell (or any
player) to go down at the 1yd line? Take two knees, center the
ball, kick a 18yd fg with 5 seconds to go, and take the win.
Instead, we give the ball back and hope we hold on. Considering
they had ~40 minutes of possession, our def was gassed. I'm not
a head coach, but that's a strategy that's been used before to
       win games.
And as for making the playoffs, we now need to run the table to
       make the dance.

       make the dance? no chance
no way we earn 7 division I victories by the end of the season.
those hopes are long gone. Meanwhile that team from the Capital
District has a legit chance for playoffs despite the cake
schedule so far. Sometimes playing an easy schedule may pay off
       (getting the 7 win threshold)
Its gonna be another losing season. Nonetheless, I'll support
       the wolves til the end!

Depth chart updated, we have a new No. 1 QB. RS Freshman
continues at our left tackle and left guard

This is good. Conor will only get better each week and his
players will feel more comfortable knowing theres only one Q to
learn from and his style of playing.. I think the line did a
heck of a lot better on Saturday. Our special teams still stink
and all the penalties and fouls are getting old by now.... Play
calling on 3rd down needs to be addressed, too.... Sooner or
later the defense will make a mistake and unfortunately, it
happen at a bad time.. I think they will learn from that and fix
       it in a hurry!!
