2014: Game 4 - SBU @ North Dakota 9/20 7pm
By: Chairman of the Board Date: September 15, 2014, 8:09 am

SB finally gets on the board with a shaky win over AIC. We are
still not in conference play so not expecting a 1 QB game yet.
We dont know much from the data available so far on ND- beat RMU
in a tight home contest, blanked by Missouri State, beaten up by
San Jose State. Judging by scores, specifically last year, they
dont play much defense. They are nowhere near the talent that
NDSU is. Which is dominant in FCS and has beaten multiple FBS
teams, and now hosted College Gameday twice.
Its supposed to be rainy and wet conditions in Grand Forks next
saturday night. Perhaps more of running game, which likely
benefits SB. I thought Bedell looked great again, as did the
change-up to Kenner and Fredericks. Cheesy, Cassell, Ricard,
and others too had a good day on defense, now two weeks in a
row.
Ill be in Wisconsin and wont be able to watch... can anyone fill
us in on what to expect from our opponent?
GO SB

One clarification, Chairman--I understand that N.D. plays
indoors. So, any rain will not dictate the run/pass play
selection. Apparently, SBU will use the two QBs again. So,
this is their final opportunity to demonstrate that they can
actually be successful passing the ball--at least in ideal
conditions. So, we should know whcich will lead the team in
conference play by the end of the weekend.

We played ND in 2009. Why are we going back there in 2014. I
don't recall playing them at home in 2010, 11, 12, 13? What
gives!

Indoor stadium or outdoors, different time zone or not, it will
not be a happy day if SB cannot beat this team.

North Dakota will be a home game for us in 2016. We were in he
Big South last time out so I suspect it was a 2 for 1 deal
since they are in the Big Sky Conference a higer level
conference at the time.

Lets see if we go out there and surprise some folks on Saturday.
Beating ND would be a nice win to get back on track and for the
CAA which needs as many wins as possible.

this game should be a good test for us going into the conference
schedule. ND is in a very legit conf, with super credible
competition, much like us in the CAA. I hear that Kinder may be
back under center at QB this week. we need a good showing by
whoever is at QB as we move into conf play.

I'm sure coach P will switch back and forth like he did in the
UConn game.. We'll see how that goes!!!!

From what I've seen, neither the CAA nor SBU will be covering
this game with live video feed. But, I did some detective work
and think I've learned that the America One Sports network,
which covers Big Sky Conference events, along with some others,
will be covering it. The really good news is that it appears to
be free. It seems like all you have to do is register per their
instructions and make sure you load the appropriate software,
and you're a go!! Here's the link:
