I myself don't have any prediction. I would just love to have a
victory over Connecticut on Saturday.

my prediction is that SB at least turns it around and plays
well... better than last thurs. and i mean that mostly on O not
on D. GO SB

I'm not all that confident about a W-L or score prediction, but
I'm expecting 100 yd. rushing performances from both Coker and
Bedell!!

UCONN head coach Bob Diaco announced on local radio up here last
night that starting QB Casey Cochran is hurt and will not play
tomorrow. So UCONN will go with last year's unimpressive
starter, Chandler Whitmer, who was benched half way through the
season last year and was beaten out for the starting job this
year by the younger Cochran.
There is a lot of pressure on UCONN to win this game. The
feeling up here is that if UCONN can't even beat an FCS school
(after losing to one last year) that the damage caused by the
Paul Pasqualoni era is probably too much to overcome. The
longer SBU can stay in this game the more the pressure will
build on UCONN. A loss would be devastating to UCONN, and the
coaches and players know it.
This is a great opportunity for SBU to right its ship and steal
a win. Substantially better o-line and QB play is essential for
SBU to pull this off. Will keep my fingers crossed.

Our O line and the running game must be on target. Kinder needs
to complete the medium pass and maybe a bomb but we cant go
run 2 pass 3 like last week, Fingers crossed we pull off a
mild upset.

some halftime thoughts...
connecticut does look flat. they should be favored in this game
and they are struggling. even sans QB.
SB defense is coming up huge. big hits, big stops, caused 2
turnovers. getting into the backfield. blocked PAT. a safety.
cheesey and ochi having a big half.
offense is a different story. miscues, bad placement on passes,
SIX penalties, letting D into the backfield. 0/6 on 3rd down.
awful long snapping. predictable play calls. cant get to the
outside on sweeps. only 2 first downs. bedell looks alive
though.

Defense will get tired in this heat. Offense really needs to
step up. The o line is once a again nonexistent
