       CAA Radio Show
       By: superman7515 Date: August 14, 2014, 10:34 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
For anyone who checks out AnyGivenSaturday.com, you're probably
aware that they have a FCS radio show over there that is done on
BlogTalkRadio and is taped and later broadcast on a few radio
stations in Montana and the Dakotas.
Well, my friend Brian (an Elon grad) and I have decided to hop
on the bandwagon and will be doing a CAA-only radio segment. If
you're interested in checking it out, the link is
www.blogtalkradio.com/CAARadioShow and we'll be kicking off on
Wednesday August 27th at 7:00 pm (show time will remain 7 pm on
       Wednesday's throughout the football season, we'll re-evaluate
that for basketball season) and you can listen live at that site
or, if that isn't convenient, it will be available for download
       as a podcast.
Our current plan is for just a short 30-minute show, but it may
run a little longer if something particularly interesting
happens. It will be the typical sports-centric show style with
breakdowns of the games from last week, previews for the coming
weekend, impressive stats or records broken, some guests, that
sort of thing. You can even call in and talk if any of you are
so inclined. We're also going to do a Game of the Week segment
each show, it has to be an FCS vs FCS matchup involving a CAA
team, and what we would like is 1) to get every team in the game
of the week at least once (possible but a couple of teams may be
a reach, looking at you Rhode Island...) and, 2) get a fan from
each team to come on the show with us that week for about 5
minutes and talk about their teams strengths, weaknesses, what
you feel will be the key to getting a victory, score prediction,
etc. So if you feel like you may be interested in spreading some
knowledge about your team, please let me know (you can email us
at CAARadioShow@gmail.com or send me a PM here, AGS, or my site
  HTML http://www.BlueHenNation.com
) and we'll definitely try to get
       you on.
       Thanks for your support,
       Supe

Well, I will be the first one to admit that we were a little
rougher than we wanted to be on our first episode. Takes a bit
of getting used to each other's patterns and such to get going,
but I assure that we will only get better. Look for significant
       improvement in Episode 2.
Here's the link to Episode 1, the CAA Preseason Preview episode,
if you weren't able to listen live. You can either listen to the
podcast right on your web browser, or download it for your
convenience so you can listen to us and chuckle at our first
episode struggles while working out, mowing the lawn, etc.

If you're so inclined and would like to get on the show next
week (Wednesday night at 7:00 Eastern), guests can call in to
the show at (347) 989-8515. It's a local call in NYC, but you
can always use Google Voice if you don't want to use your cell
minutes/still use a landline, and of course you can still email
us at CAARadioShow@gmail.com if you have any comments,
questions, constructive criticism, or suggestions. We'd love to
get some other fans to interact, so don't be shy.

Just hyping the show this week for you CAA fans; this week I
have Kevin Cavooris, Assistant Director of Athletics Compliance
for the Saint Francis Red Flash (a Villanova grad and former
student manager for the Wildcat football team) coming on along
with James "Jim" McHugh, former Fordham Rams player and highly
respected alum. They'll be dissecting the Fordham @ Villanova
matchup and giving some insights & predictions for you fine
       folks.

In case you haven't been following along with the show, last
week we had guests Rob Abbott, owner and operator of the JMU
Sports Blog, and Jon Striefsky, 2007 1st Team AP All-American
for the Blue Hens. They broke down the Delaware Blue Hens at
James Madison Dukes game for us and gave some pretty good
insight into the game. That show is now archived and you can
listen to it directly from our site
(www.blogtalkradio.com/CAARadioShow) or you can download it as a
podcast to one of your mobile devices and listen at your
       leisure.
This Wednesday at 7:00 pm Eastern we will have Elon Phoenix Head
Coach Rich Skrosky on the show as they head into their first
ever CAA conference game in a matchup with the New Hampshire
Wildcats. We'll find out how the conference move is affecting
recruiting, how the team is progressing, what Elon needs to do
in order to knock off a highly ranked UNH team, and much more.
