I have a gut feel we can knock off UConn also if everyone is
healthy. It is only our second game of the season so we should
be ready.

a buddy of mine is a BYU fan, UConn's Week 1 opponent. he
promised me that his Cougars would rough up UConn in that first
game, so that SBU will be able to take them down another notch
in Week 2. Ha Ha.
just read that Charlie Strong at Texas named his starting QB at
the Big 12 media day. I guess Coach P is not ready to that
yet..... just joking.

Folks, I got this info from a player third hand. you can get
Nike stuff with SB football on it from this website. I bought a
few t-shirts and a cap. I think some of the sale procedes go to
the football team. the only catch is that you have to order no
later than August 3, sunday. after that, they cut off access to
the site. follow this link, and use the team code:

HTML http://www.lidsteamsports.com/
click on the tab that says Lids Team Sports Flash store. then
put in the team code: stonybrookftb2014

Caught a couple hours of practice today- took some pics too!

Here are my takeaways- keep in mind I have a simple brain and
focused on offense today:
1. QB race- between Kinder and Bednarski, I was more impressed
with Kinder. He has a better arm than I thought and showed good
accuracy with short and intermediate routes. Bednarski has
better size but Kinder just seems to have more moxie in the
huddle. Also, there weren't any read-options practiced tomorrow
and I think Kinder has the athletic edge.
2. Wide outs- both Coxson and Level run absolutely crisp routes.
Those two are going to be incredibly reliable this year.
Freshman Julius Wingate looks like an athletic freak. He's got
premium size and looks like he has an advanced feel for the game
already. The routes I saw him run today were solid and he can
physically outmuscle a lot of wideouts. I don't think we've had
a wide receiver corp this good since I've followed Stony Brook-
this is mid-major FBS level talent.
3. Will Tye is going to be a beast- he looks even quicker than
he did last year. With the wide receiver talent, he'll get a lot
of mismatches.
4. Coker looks healthy and was hitting the line hard. Kenner
just continues to slip under the radar and I anticipate he will
pick up where he left off last year. Bedell is easily the
fastest of the bunch. However, my favorite may still be Tyler
Fredericks- he's a big runner and just shows great instincts
when he runs. We're set for a few years at RB :)
5. Both of our offensive and defensive lines have great size-
really impressed with what the coaches have done in the
offseason.
Less than a month till kickoff and I'm stoked. I probably won't
attend too many more practices but I'm excited about this team.
Hard for me to believe that this team is picked 9th in the
conference!

Great write up Wolfie MD looking forward to the 28th big time.
We will be 9th until we win a few games against the CAA
powerhouses.

Thank you much, Wolfie_MD. You've given me renewed hope. Now,
I can't wait to see the scrimmage on Thursday.
