Looks like a good pick up if the kid says yes. It will be
interesting to see how the team plays this year and what our
schedule will look like . I understand we still have a
scholarship to use other than if Thrower leaves.

Rumor on Twitter has JUCO wing Junior Saintel of Chipola College
(Fla.) choosing Stony Brook. He played at one of the better
high school programs in South Jersey (Holy Spirit) and would be
a really good addition. He's a long (6'7") wing, but is also a
really good shot-blocker, is athletic and can finish....no
confirmation yet, but if true it would be a coup for new coach.

Actually, it looks like we just signed him! Welcome Junior
Saintel! And if he's as good as his other offers, then Coach
Boals is off to an incredible start.

Was just coming here to post this! Don't know much about him,
but I like the list of other schools that supposedly offered him

Saw him back in high school but he's obviously gotten stronger
and has expanded his game. Can play/guard multiple positions,
and can elevate from weakside to block shots. You really don't
have a player like him at his size/length, should be very good
in AE.

That's the last schollie, right? The Juco will play right away,
but wonder if any of the freshmen will be redshirted. We will
also have last year's two redshirted players join the team.
Should be an interesting transition period. Really looking
forward to see if Boals can make this team competitive. I think
we can be a 3rd seed. I will be even happier if we can get to
2nd seed, but will be very disappointed if we do less than 4th
seed. There is no real strong team in AE at the moment except
Vermont. Albany and UNH will be tough but not unbeatable.
Vermont is obviously the best and they will favorite to win AE.
But as we have seen before, anything can happen in the AE
tournament. If we have home court advantage in the first game,
we can cause an upset or two on later stages ;)

That would be last scholarship if Thrower returns. I don't know
anything other than what's been posted, but I don't expect
Thrower to be back, so I think we'll see another late addition.
Agreed. Vermont and UNH will both be real tough next year. I'm
hoping for a top three finish. Agree that this team should still
absolutely be a top 4 team though.

am I the only one that was mildly impressed with Hartford down

Hartford will be tough next season for sure. I'm hoping we
finish in the top four with UNH and Vermont and maybe Albany. I
expect a 17 or 18 win season doubt we break 20 wins unless we
have a cupcake schedule.
