Not sure if its already been mentioned on the board, but "Stony
Brook and Hofstra will begin a home and home series starting
next season in Hempstead" per Rothstein. #LIvalry

And we are also going to Cincy, "Cincinnati will host Stony
Brook next season as part of its non-conference schedule"

Couple of great non-conference games. Long Island rivalry game
against Hofstra would no doubt generate some buzz locally. And a
good test against last years AP #15 ranked Bearcats.

Thanks ISO -heared about the Hofstra game. Cincy is plus, also
suspect but not sure we will host Columbia and Loyola. They
were road games last season

Last year, 2013, we played at couple of early season
tournaments:
2K Sports Classic Benefitting The Wounded Warrior Project AND
Madison Square Garden Holiday Festival

Hope we play at MSG again. Here is the link to keep an eye
during slow off season to see if Stony Brook will be playing in
any early season tournament in 2014:

Besides tournaments, I want couple of well known strong
NYC/NorthEast teams on the schedule. Hope to see 2 or 3 games vs
teams like Saint Johns, UConn, UMass, BC, GT, GW, Providence,
URI, Seton Hall etc.

Just did some digging on NYC Buckets - current OOC schedule
-Home - Loyola, Columbia
Away NIT Pre Season Tournament, Cincinnati, Hofstra, Canisius ,
also heard Delaware was away game this year.
Kind of lean so far but it is June.

Are we playing at the NIT preseason tipoff? That's awesome. I am
assuming we will be playing with host St Johns.
I don't think we are playing Delaware. They are playing St Bona.
Its confusing. Both called SBU!
Also according to Rothstein we are going to Providence.
So far:
Home: Loyola, Columbia
Road: NIT tipoff, Cincinnati, Hofstra, Providence, Canicius

If I'm not mistaken, there will be 6 teams in every pod, with
teams playing 4 games over a two week period.

I thought it was 4 teams in each regional group. Each play one
game then the winners play each other amd losers play each
other. So 2 guaranteed games. Winner of the winner's bracket
goes to MSG.
