Quinnipiac vs SB 4/1 730pm
By: Chairman of the Board Date: April 1, 2014, 8:45 am

Short notice for a mid-week non-conference game. I know very
little about Q-pac and havent seen them play in a few years.
They used to be an AE foe. Coach Fekete has been there a long
time. Theyve got a bigtime player from West Islip that is their
main feeder, also a threat to score. The attack is rounded out
by Canadians. Looking purely at the stats, their threats are
all on attack. We catch them in the middle of a long road
stretch, where they have been up and down this year.
Im expecting a victory, just not sure how much of the 60min this
team will play.

Another close one. Q-Pac face-guarded Easty with a shorty and
didnt slide off of him. Their goalie is good- a big lefty. We
knew Sagl was talented. They have some other good shooters too.
A good win for the Bobcats.
Again more trouble with the inverts... this time though, not so
much the passes out to the wings, but rather the wraparound from
x. how many times did they score there? i think three on that
very play.
Otherwise, some matador defense, no taking body, especially in
the most critical area, the crease. This costed us at least
three goals. Despite the poor goals against avg, i do think
Johnstone is getting better and makes some really big saves.
There were some odd slides as well, but again, we just play too
much defense.
We just play too much defense, and yet, sometimes none at all.
Schultz again reinvents himself, doing it all. He's still
improving off ball, on ball, and even secured a faceoff with
hustle and brains. Good to see Sichenzia back in action too,
though just for a bit. EMO continues to be a bright spot.
We should have trouble with UA.

This loss does not help the case of Nagle supporters very much

Awful game...watched it on the big screen via Apple TV. Great
coverage, but yet another home one goal loss to a team we should
be better than. Coach must have made some great adjustments at
the half. I mean they scored 4 goals in the final 30, but hell
they were passing it around. Coach likes that. Good things
happen when they pass it around. Oh right, it wasn't an America
East game so we didn't need to win it.
How bout putting Judge back a Defense...kid started for the past
2 years and now he gets stuck playing wing on the face off.
Makes no sense.
Credit the Bobcats...better prepared than the SeaWolves and
still got a hard fought win after losing 21 of 28 face offs.

Sideline very quiet....they need some spark there.
Most goals against were less than 10m out - not many goalies
expected to stop those. I agree Johnstone improving and gaining
confidence with each game.
D is young and inexperienced - they get exposed and leave goalie
out to dry. But I do believe they will only get better as they
play more. We are a very young team compared to most.
I think it will come together as this 1st group of Nagle
recruits (only sophs and freshmen now) gain experience, and
others join. They are there to play for Nagle, and that will
make a difference.
There are lots of positives - just too easy to be negative when
they don't win.
