Hammer, seeding in the Tournament is based on wins/losses,
strength of schedule, RPI, and maybe a few other things. SBU's
schedule strength is among the weakest in the country (330 out
of 350), so winning over 20 games doesn't matter much for their
seeding. If Vermont had won out, they might have gotten a 14
seed because they had a much stronger schedule this season, and
played Duke to within a point. I almost prefer an NIT bid with a
higher seed (like last year) where we could win in the post
season. There is practically no chance of a 16 seed winning in
the NCAA Tournament. Hasn't happened yet (though I think there
has been a OT game).

They aren't releasing any to the general public but I'd love to
be able to get to the game.

Dont try! Its pointless (LOL). I gave up without even trying. No
general public tickets. Only season ticket holders, and I
believe staff & vip.
