Looks like we lost some of the coaching staff too. This will be
a rebuilding year for SBF.

I'd say the QB play was not as bad a Hammertime says. the two
main guys, Hernandez and Bednarski played well under the
confines of the SB offense. and this is a very big deal. Looks
like the coaching staff has very exacting expectations for the
QBs in this offense, and I doubt you will see much freelancing
by the QBs, like a Manziel-type QB, that is just not our
offense. Bednarski had a very nice scramble run for 25 yards,
and threw a beautiful TD pass over the defenders. Hernandez
looked very consistent, and also had a nice run. I am hopeful
that the staff opens up the offense, because what I saw was a
very conservative passing game approach, short routes, and
nothing thrown over the middle. you could tell that the
defenders were not afraid to play the receivers really tight
because they seemed to know that there we had no deep routes
planned. the remaining QBs on the roster look far behind
Bednarski and Hernandez. Both QBs showed they can run if
necessary, but that is not going to be featured play of our
offense. If I called a winner for yesterday at QB, I'd say
Hernandez won the day due his consistency on the throwing game.

I have seen this in the past. The staff plays it close to the
belt for now which is good. Get the basic stuff down then
open up some fancy passing in August. Our offense is a run
machine as we know so we don't rely on the 40-50 yard down the
field pass Johnny Football throws. Im confident we will be
fine barring major injuries.

Granted I only caught a portion of the scrimmage, I was pretty
happy with the qb play. I think the coaches are going to have
some tough decision to make in the fall.
I also though Adrian Coxson played great. He had a bunch of
receptions while I was there.
Bedell broke a pretty nice run while I was there too. I think
he'll fit in Priore's system really well.

Remember too that Coker is still recovering from off season
surgery, so he is not out there right now. I think our RB
situation will be real strong this year with the addition of
Bedell to supplement Kenner and Coker. Tye looks like he will
shine again this year. Level at WR made some nice grabs. We
got spoiled that last couple of years in the Big South,
considering we had several NFL-level players on the team, and we
were in a so so conference: Bamiro, Maysonet and Norell. So
we've got some growing to do in the CAA.

Bedell is not going to be a suppleme to the offense, he will
be a major part. If Coker is healthy expect Kenner ( who played
well ) to take a back seat. Bedell is a stud ,runs 4.43 and did
not come here to be a 3rd rb.

I caught a glimpse of practice today and once again the defense
was stellar. AJ Otranto looks real sharp once again at Q..I
really like what I see out of this kid... 2 weeks in a row and
still no sign of Big Arthur Dokes on the field or the sideline.

sbufan: thanks for the video. cant believe there is still snow
piled up on the sidelines.
Hammer, thanks for the info on today's scrimmage. he may be
good, but I think AJ has a long climb up the depth chart.
