From what I heard they are real excited about this class. Don't
forget that last yes class was strong and most redshirted.

What I'm hearing is they won't bring a scholarship QB in this
year maybe a walk on down the road. Also once spring practices
finish up is when many players transfer so expect Stony Brook to
pick up players from DI Colleges at that time.
The rumor has it for the 2016 Class the NCAA will have a
National Signing Day in December for Football

Campi: thanks. yes, Coach P said he is still holding a few
scholarships available, and I suspect that he will offer them to
FBS kids that want to leave their current schools after Spring
Ball, when they find out they wont be starting or getting much
playing time at their current FBS school

Only four qb's on the roster, but all are scholarship guys and
I'm comfortable with Bednarski going into next season.
BFF, any insight on the Cali kids?

According to Rivals, Isaiah White turned down offers from
Indiana, Buffalo, and Temple to go to Stony Brook.
Glad we're taking top tier in-state talent. I think there's a
very good chance we see SB Football turn another corner this
year. Talent level starting to catch up with CAA standard.

I know the 2 WR's (Anderson & Bolden), are guys they really
wanted. The DL Awrabi should start in 2015. Bradley Meeks is the
type of DB they needed because of the WR's in the CAA capable of
covering speed and able to make one on tackles and not give up
big plays.
The big thing for 2015 is that the roster posses players that
can play at the DI level and don't forget they had the 4th best
defense in the FCS last season and many players return on the
line and LB's.

Very pleased with this recruiting class. Our situation at RB is
enviable- I'm as excited about our backs as I've ever been. We
already know that Bedell is going to be the #1 back. White I
think will provide an instant home-run threat. Of course, we
will be returning Tyler Fredericks who will offer a more
physical running style. Finally, Travis Liburd from Florida is
going to be a FCS star- yes he's small but he's got tremendous
speed and I see him as a huge weapon on special teams.
We will take a slight hit at our receiving positions but we are
oozing potential at WR. Donavin Washington was really impressing
later in the year. Julius Wingate is a tremendous athlete and I
expect to see him make a big jump this year. Our JuCo transfer
at TE Jackson Miller looks like he'll at the least be a
punishing run blocker. I'm especially excited to see Josh
Valentin- just wait till you see him on the field, he is just an
athletic freak and a great kid.
Not nearly as well versed on our defensive recruits, but looks
like we have some big time athletes coming in on that side of
the ball. We were still young at a lot of positions on defense
last year- I don't expect much of a let down.
Would have loved to get a young QB but that will probably be a
focus next year. I expect us to be looking for a transfer too. I
hope its somebody with a few years of eligibility soon.

The focus seems to be on defense again this year and i get it
but, I think Coach P should have brought in a Quarterback.
Bednarski will be our starter assuming he recovers in time from
off season surgery but, what if doesn't? Who's our starter?
Bring in a top Quarterback, let him sit a year out and start him
in his Sophomore year.. isint that how it usually goes. My other
thought is. Coach P is saving that last scholarship for a
transfer from an FBS school like someone else on this board
said. Could we count on that happening?? Sounds risky to me!!!!!
