2015 Recruiting
By: sbufan Date: February 20, 2014, 9:35 pm

We have an offer out Jordan Gowins, Eddie's younger brother and
Stacey Bedell's cousin. Local consensus seems to be that he is a
BCS level kid, but hopefully Priore can convince him to stay
close to home.

I spoke with Bedell's father last week and so far the big FBS
offers have not come for the younger Gowins. Hopefully he wants
to keep it in the family.

The question is. Does Priore want to burn a scholarship on a
another RB. We are stacked pretty well in that category for a
while, I think ... I would like to see a FBS Freshman QB or WR
make his way over to SB!!!!!!!1

Coker graduates - so we would have Bedell, Fredericks and
Kenner return as potential starters in 2015. One more back
maybe as a redshirt cant hurt seeing the injuries we had this
year. If the younger Gowins is anything like his brother he
needs to be in the mix. Ed Gowins was beast in a good way.
QB's we seem to pick up every year. If I had preference I
would grab beefy lineman OL and DL 300 plus lbs to make the
running game go.

We graduate Kenner and Coker after next fall. I believe in Fall
of 2015 the only scholarship players on the roster should be
Fredericks and Bedell. I definitely think we should be looking
for a RB in this class.

any conversations about Jordan Fredericks? According to MSG
Varsity had offer from Temple already. Might have the most
potential among the brothers.

You never pass on a talent like Gowins. He is being offered
this early so they can get a jump on the other schools. SB
usually gives their early offers in the summer before their
senior yr. You can never have too much talent at one position.

[/quote] No doubt. I still have big concerns on offense though.
I think we are still weak in the WR and Q posistions.... At this
stage of the game, if I am the head coach of a college football
team and had one more full scholarship to give and had one FBS
caliber RB and one FBS WR to chose from, I would go with the
WR!
